オーナーのヤマさんをはじめスタッフの方の気遣いです。 弾丸旅でキャンディーでの予定がなく、またアクシデントもありましたが親身になって相談にのって解決してくださいました。 旅人ひとりひとりに向き合ってベストを考えてくれるおおらかで優しい方々だと感じました。 キャンディー行きのバス停やお土産を買えるスーパーマーケット、スパセイロン、ATMまではすぐ歩いていけます。共有のキッチン、冷蔵庫、洗濯機があり特に洗濯できることが大変ありがたかったです。 スリランカの旅人たちの手書きのおすすめ本やガイドブックもありました！！

We absolutely loved this place – it's one of the best youth hostels we've stayed in Sri Lanka! Super organized, spotless clean, with great facilities and really good prices. The owner is a polite Japanese guy (Yama, I think?) who clearly thinks of everything – we found little handwritten notes everywhere explaining how to use the washing machine (with times), tips for travelers on bus stops, nearby sights, and all the small details. We really appreciated that thoughtful touch! They have washing machines on site with a big drying area, plus a shared kitchen on every floor which was super convenient. One of the staff, Kumar, was amazing – so kind, friendly, and genuinely loves helping people. Chatting with him was a highlight of our stay. Overall, it felt welcoming, efficient, and great value – highly recommend for budget travelers who want comfort and cleanliness

Not many complaints, but a couple of things bugged us a bit. The bed slats/under the mattress made a lot of creaking noise whenever we moved – it was pretty annoying at night and hard to sleep through. Hope the management can fix that soon. Also, our window faced a school – the first day was a holiday so it was quiet, but on the second morning we got woken up early by kids arriving and playing. If you're someone who likes sleeping in late, maybe ask for a room not facing the school. with how well-equipped everything else is, it would be awesome to have filtered/purified water in the kitchen for refilling bottles (we had to buy them). But honestly, these are minor compared to everything else – we'd stay again in a heartbeat and hope to see Kumar next time!

Everything! Very good location: the hostel is located not on the main road but a bit above, which makes it silent. The private room was very clean, spacious and bright. The wifi was working very well and I could do video calls. The owner was very kind! The kitchen had everything to be able to cook.
