Swiss-Kiwi Cottage and Retreat, B&B

What a place! The host, Monika was so welcoming, she made us a fresh loaf of bread and there were loads of home grown/made treats! The accommodation is cosy and location is so beautiful! We loved the hot tub - it was a little rainy, so not many stars to see, but you'll an have an incredible treat if you are lucky enough to have a clear night! We loved meeting the chickens and cat too!

Very clean and well maintained. The property is outside of Tauranga, but relatively close to restaurants (around 10 minutes drive). Great place if you’re looking to stay away from the city

Bathroom is detached from the property, but it’s only a few seconds walk. The bathroom is also private, and not shared which is good.

The property itself was amazing with clean facilities, beautiful jacuzzi to relax, comfy bed and amazing view from the balcony. What made it even more special was our host’s lovely and kind hospitality and caring nature. Her homemade bread and breakfast food prepared for us were all amazing and we had amazing time relaxing with nature & animals & beautiful food! She even offered to bring some ointment for my sprained toe! The area itself is only 40mins drive from the Tauranga CBD but there are a lot of things to explore nearby so I definitely recommend you booking this place. The bathroom/toilet was less than 50steps away and is super well stocked and well kept. Thanks so much for your kindness and we will definitely be back if we are in the area. ❤️

Nothing. It was perfect!

I spend an average of two working weeks a month on the road, hence I stay in many different spots between Wellington and Auckland. We simply can not fault a solitary thing. It is truely an exceptional place and hosts. Many thanks. You will be seeing me again.

Lovely and quiet

The isolation, cleanliness, comfort & warmth (both literal heating & the demeanour of our wonderful hosts). If you're after a tiny house experience that is cosy, comfy and an absolute treat: this is the place to go. Monika and Rolf are SO accommodating (Rolf makes the BEST multigrain bread I've ever had) and Monika greeted us in such a friendly and welcoming manner. If we come back this way, we will DEFINITELY return!

The fact that we didn't stay here longer!! The bed was a bit bouncy, I think we ran out of hot water mid-shower (I tend to shower too long) & the (amazing) bathroom is separate to the room, but these did not detract from what was an EXCELLENT night's stay.
