Riebeeck Villa - 5 min walk to Franschhoek Central

Fabulous, spacious villa with large en-suite bedrooms and communal areas. Lovely pool and large hot tub with undercover BBQ and entertainment areas in good sized garden

Clean, light and spacious. The pool and hot tub were great. Are we silly but could not get the downstairs bath to work?

We needed more instructions to make the automated lights, cooker extracted to work. We are instructions people!e

The location of the property was great and less than a 10 minute walk to Franschhoek high street. The pool area was lovely.

The property needs a lot of tidying up. There are multiple areas where cables are exposed where it’s expected televisions used to be in the bed rooms. The toilet seat was broken in one of the bathrooms and the cupboard door fell off when we opened the wardrobe. The floors were SO dirty to a point we all wore flip flops the whole time we were in the property (even to get from the shower to the bedroom. The property is very high tech (which is great) but every time the electricity switches to the inverter and back again, Alexa requests for the devices to be reset. This is very annoying when happening at 3 or 4am. All relatively small things but all need sorting for the property to be comfortable.

The location was excellent and the property was spacious. The staff were very friendly on arrival.

Even though we were late arriving, the property was still being cleaned when we got there. There was no proper handover or property information guide to explain how the alarm, lighting or sound system worked - the sound system would come on in the middle of the night when load shedding ended, waking us up. The hot tub was not working - repair men turned up the following day without warning or keys, and we had to call the management to find out what to do so that we could go out. The house was not really child friendly, the stairs are dangerous and the pool area has odd steps and uneven decking. The bbq grill did not fit the bbq properly.

The lights switches or sensors in toilets did not seem to work. We have reported this.

This is a great property in a perfect location close to Franschhoek. The outside area is lovely and our family made great use of the pool and seating area. The bedrooms are enormous and well-equipped. Danae was very friendly and helpful in welcoming us to the property.

As other guests have said, we couldn't find a way to turn off the lights in a couple of the bathrooms. But that's a minor quibble that didn't spoil our stay.
