Country Charm Cottage Sleeps 4 & Free Parking

The property was ample room for two people very cosy and only 10 minutes walk into the main town

I couldn't fault the property it was excellent

From the outside it looks like a lovely quaint little house. Nice neighbourhood and very friendly neighbours.

Where do I begin? When we arrived early Friday evening we had no heating, no hot water, and no ventilation in the bathroom/toilet. The "landlady" mailed us that she was not willing to help, because "she does not work during weekends". Later we heard that she is usually abroad and can hardly ever help. But that on the side. Not until Monday morning would this "landlady" be willing to look into the issues and see "if it was possible" to find someone to look at them. So we were basically told to stay in the cold during most of our days there, without heating, without hot water, and without a toilet ventilator. Only after I had informed Booking.com about all this was she willing to send a man on Saturday morning - something which she had said was "impossible" on Friday evening. This man saw the solutions fairly quickly: there were some switches that had to be turned on related to the boiler in a cupboard in the bedroom, the batteries in the WIFI regulator for the heating were gone, and some switches in the hall near the ceiling had to be adjusted. After the man had left, the "landlady" mailed us saying that she was very angry with us, because we had taken up a lot of her precious time in the weekend, and she now also had to pay the man who had had a look at our issues with the accommodation. According to her, we "lacked common sense" and "we were not fit to use self-catering holiday accommodation". In her very own words! So, in conclusion, this "lady" is not willing to help you when you need her. Then, when Booking makes her help you, she only thinks about herself and the money and the free time that SHE has to spend on you, rather than being bothered by the fact that she lets her guests standing in the cold - literally - for days. And on top of it all, she insults you as a customer by mailing that you lack common sense and are unfit to stay in self-catering holiday homes.

Lovely and clean

Cosy and warm cottage. Walk across the bridge to the city centre, pubs, and restaurants . Great modern appliances and comfy bed. Would definitely recommend to couples for a lovely break away.

Nothing we didn't like.

Really nice cottage, however, I think it would have been a tight squeeze with 4 people.

The breakfast was really basic and no porridge 🙁
