Easy access to town centre ,nice and quiet

The settee was uncomfortable sitting on it the ,bed was uncomfortable, and probably both need renewed , the toilet seat definitely needs to be renewed and the hot water tap in the bathroom needs tightened, the view from the front living room window was non-existent due to the same parked car constantly parked in front of it , instructions for coffee machine would be good, replace dishwasher with washing machine

The property is perfect, lots of character very clean

The sofa bed wouldn’t stay up

Location great .. didn’t use the breakfast facility

Outside upon entry a little scruffy, TV didn’t work, shower leaked, and lacking basic kitchen essentials

I am an older single Australian traveller, so my circumstances may be a little different to others wishing to rent the cottage. Overall I was happy with the place and it served my needs.Provision of basic breakfast supplies (some cerals, croissants,milk tea, coffee) was a nice touch and appreciated. The location is quiet but central. Accessing Chester and getting around the district was good. Having a dedicated (but very tight) car parking space was great because frankly car parking in the whole of the UK is nothing short of a shabby disgrace. It is well equiped and tastefully decorated

1.Check in/access is, in my opinion very late 16:00 2. It is a very small cottage. Essentially a single floor with a mezazine level for the queen sized bed. As an older person with a replaced knee accessing the bed up a narrow stair case was a challege, especially during the night to use the toilet 3. Operating the shower took some time to work out 4. Communicating with Chris and Kate whilst fine overall was slow because they were going through Bookings.com

Everything was good but just odd little things like there were no oven gloves in the kitchen. One frustration was that the lights were all on the same circuit so when my daughter had gone to sleep we couldn't put the main light on as it would put the upstairs one on too. The other weird thing was that the towel rail seemed to be on full heat which made the bathroom immensely hot on a hot day with seemingly no way to switch it off. Apart from little things it was brilliant.

A superb bijou cottage ideally situated for walking in to Chester city centre. Bed very comfy and kitchen fully equipped. The supply of breakfast is such a good idea, although we didn't find the croissants in the freezer until morning of departure. A little note would have been handy....

I think a new sofa bed is needed, uncomfortable to sit on and we think the bed part was a little broken, we had to make up a bed with cushions on the floor. Apparently it was very comfortable! Other than that, nothing to dislike and we will definitely stay again.

Perfect location, very cute cottage with all the facilities you need for your stay. The cottage was very clean and very well presented.

Just a couple of points to note which didn’t reflect badly per-se or affect our stay too much, but worth noting for others. I wouldn’t recommend this cottage for more than 2 people unless you all go to sleep at the same time. The bedroom is in the living room pretty much which is cute but you can’t watch tv if someone wants to sleep for example, unless they are a heavy sleeper . Bathroom doesn’t lock and very seldom stays shut. Breakfast is included, I probably wouldn’t market it as breakfast included and have this as a freebie which isn’t mentioned. Breakfast is cereal and a multipack pastry so a little stretch of the imagination. Booking will add on an extra £70 cleaning fee when you confirm the booking, which isn’t clearly displayed at the start of the process. Lastly host can seem a little full on with reminders about check in and check out but less attentive to answer specific questions

Beautifully fitted out. Lovely fixtures and fittings. Great set up. Great location. Millie the border terrier all walked out lol
