"Excellent location. Immaculate property. Beautifully decorated. Loved McHoppity House and we were able to enjoy the outd"

8.0

I really instantly felt like a home.

Not so much didn’t like, more didn’t expect the very uncomfortable x2 single beds. I was asked how I would like beds configured prior to arrival and asked for x3 doubles. Unfortunately I wasn’t advised at this time time this wasn’t possible. Had I known this in advance of booking I would have tried to find a property that provided an accurate description about the bedrooms / beds on offer and may have booked to match our needs better

Great location in the centre of Crail. Comfortable well appointed and clean. Very narrow steep stairs to the upstairs rooms ( may be an issue for those with mobility issues)

"Affordable base for 5 adults to get ready for a family event."

6.0

Had all we needed for a short stay in Crail for a family wedding. it did what we needed the home to do - a place to sleep, wash and get ready for the wedding, it was ideal location for the ceremony which was what we were looking for.

No separate toilet. Only 1 bathroom for 5 adults - we managed for 2 nights.

"Overall, we enjoyed our stay in Crail and the accommodation was sufficient for a short break."

7.0

The property is well located in Crail and handy for exploring the East Neuk area of Fife. The flat is well furnished and full of interesting ornaments, paintings and effect lighting which was a delight. It was spacious and the bed was excellent and very comfortable. The shower was excellent also.

Positive feedback issues: The lower floor bedroom while very comfortable, was on the small side with not much room for 2 people to move around at the same time!! As it was very hot weather, we slept with the window open but the lane at the side of the property is access to a CO-OP store and this meant early morning noise of trolleys and people talking!! Several bar stools in the kitchen and one chair in the dining area were very wobbly and posed an accident risk. One of the pages in the Information Folder was for another property as it mentioned the bathroom upstairs (there wasn't one?); the electric skylight in the kitchen (there wasn't one?) and the fire evacuation information was obviously for another property? Finally, on arrival we had to report finding 2 weeks old bread covered in green mould in the bread bin (never a good start to any stay!). The owner did reply immediately to apologise and was going to raise with housekeeping.

Quirky Cleanliness

Desperately needs a new kitchen. Also the duvet in the downstairs bedroom was very heavy! Maybe just too many dust collecting ornaments

"Lovely base to explore this part of Fife."

8.0

The property is an ideal location to explore the loveliest parts of Fife. It had everything you need and was very comfortable.

The stairs were more like a ladder and would be tricky for anyone with mobility problems or for young kids.
