The Groves at Redway Beach - Studio

Lovely location

Stayed in the studio, and it is not comfortable. One bed has walls on three sides and must be accessed at the foot, the other is a futon and has arms, also must be crawled up on to reach the head. The table is bar height, so chairs leave your legs dangling, no TV which was fine for us, but also no reading lights and only one semi comfortable chair.

Close to the river and private

Couldn’t locate coffee or ironing board

Everything was excellent, from the little details Sam added to the studio decorations to the fact that the front yard is a private redwood grove! Sam was very responsive and kind, and also provided some breakfast items upon arrival, which is always appreciated. We loved exploring the Avenue of the Giants during the day and relaxing at the gazebo overlooking the river in the evenings. We loved our stay at the studio and would love to come back soon!

Location was difficult to find. Looked nothing like website. Futon turned into two twins when it was listed as king. Full of owner’s personal stuff, including in the bathroom. Breakfast included in room rate was a jar of oats and almonds in the fridge. Host on premises was not welcoming.

The location is unbelievably gorgeous. It feels like your own private state park. The redwoods, the river and the bluff is literally their backyard. Also great location to the small downtown area close to restaurants and gas station.
