Self-Catering Suite in rural guest house 10 min to Islay Ferry Terminal

L:ocation, decor of apartment, bedroom & bathroom were large & very comfortable (and warm!)

Lounge area quite small. Little space on entry to dry wet clothes/shoes

Peaceful location, cosy and warm. Had everything we needed. Clean. Absolutely delicious breakfast. Really thoughtful and helpful hosts.

The little touches really made it, especially those fresh eggs from the birds! It was so nice to disconnect without a TV; we just sat and chilled, watching the log burner. And the bathroom? The underfloor heating was a touch of luxury. My husband and I both found the bed super comfy. The property is very comfortable and has everything you need for a short stay. Kitchen is well equipped, bed cosy and bathroom has a great shower

For those who forgot an iPad - or caught out by circumstances - a basic Bluetooth DAB radio would be a great addition

Nice and cozy loved the underfloor heating in the bathroom! The shower is excellent. Nice little kitchen, and had coffee etc available which was a bonus as we were there only for a night.

Perfect location, in the quiet countryside. The apartment is spotlessly clean, well appointed and the addition of the log burner and 7nderfloor heating is fabulous.

Eine tolle, gemütliche Unterkunft ideal für die Übernachtung vor der Fähre nach Islay. Uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen.

Es fehlte leider ein Geschirrtuch zum abtrocknen des Geschirrs.

This is beautifully peaceful and secluded space - no tv! Just what we needed for a real getaway from it all! Good location for exploring the whole of Kintyre too. We came and went as we pleased but coming back to a warm and comfy space was very welcoming at this time of year.

This isnt a dislike, more an observation! We missed the turning in the dark, despite following the sat nav. The entrance is awkwardly situated on a slight hill and there is no signage from eithe direction, so slow down well in advance and be prepared for a sharp turn and a rutted track up to the house!

Die Self-catering Suite ist wunderbar. Ruhig gelegen und voll ausgestattet. Die Suite ist sehr modern und sauber, das Bad und das Schlafzimmer sind größer, als es auf den Fotos aussieht. Der Log Burner sorgt für eine angenehme Atmosphäre im Wohn - und Küchenbereich. Schlafzimmer und Bad sind unabhängig davo beheizbar. Der Host ist sehr hilfsbereit und erkundigt sich, ob alles zur Zufriedenheit ist. Bis Campbeltown sind es ca 20 Minuten Fahrtweg, zur Islay Fähre ca. 10 Minuten. Man kann beim Frühstück auch Tiere beobachten vor der Wohnung, Hasen, Gänse, Schafe... es war wunderbar. Wenn wir wieder in der Ecke Urlaub machen, kommen wir gern wieder. :-) [English Version] The self-catering suite is wonderful. Quietly located and fully equipped. The suite is very modern and clean, and the bathroom and bedroom are larger than they appear in the photos. The log burner creates a pleasant atmosphere in the living and kitchen areas. The bedroom and bathroom are independently heated. The host is very helpful and checks in to see if everything is satisfactory. It's about a 20-minute drive to Campbeltown and about 10 minutes to the Islay ferry. You can also watch animals in front of the apartment while having breakfast: rabbits, geese, sheep... it was wonderful. If we vacation in the area again, we'll be happy to come back. :-)
