The bathroom is 30 years out of date and no heat bar a small electric towel rail - and the shower was appalling - the worst shower I've had in 25 years, at least. The sofa downstairs is the the most uncomfortable thing ever and I think the armchair was broken? Everything was cheaply done I'm afraid. I wasn't expecting the Ritz, but we were pretty disappointed
GBGreat location close to shops and facilities . The cottage was full of character with comfortable beds and bedding . Parking space for 1 car was very useful ( the details should make this clear ) . An issue over a lack of towels was quickly resolved .
While it was reasonably well equipped there was a limited amount of some crockery . A more robust dining table and chairs would have improved the experience. The place was cold on arrival although the individual electric wall heaters were quite efficient in warming the house . The bathroom was cold with only a small wall heater and was quite basic. A more flexible approach to check in time would have helped although it’s appreciated that this is not always feasible .

INGBPerfect location, it was lovely and quiet yet only took 2 minutes to walk to the shops, cafes and restaurants. The cottage is beautiful, retaining loads of original features and character. No problems with parking, so suited our needs perfectly. Having two keys proved really helpful.
When we arrived the cottage was very cold, it turned out to be a problem with the wall heaters. We managed perfectly with the electric fire and oil filled radiator and the owner arranged for an electrician to call the next day to fix the problem.

Some initial problems re lack of some bedding/dining chair/mugs but owner quickly rectified this. No hot water first night as a switch accidentally turned off before our arrival. Doing a check before guest arrival would have avoided these problems. Kitchen equipment(crockery/cutlery) a bit sparse
