The Cabin at Shambala- now with sauna available to book!

Fantastic location, and a very unique and quirky cabin, with everything you need for a private getaway. Great communication from the hosts, and plenty of wildlife to enjoy.

The very small shower was a bit uncomfortable for a 6-footer like me. While the lack of WiFi is good for getting away for the digital churn, it also meant it wasn't easy to communicate with the outside world. Great place if you want to get away from it all, but less so if you're trying to stay connected.

Stunning location, well equipped, well maintained, friendly host, we appreciated the fresh bread left at our door in the morning.

Helen and James were so helpful and gave us lots of info to make our arrival and stay go as smoothly as possible. They had plenty of tips for what to do and see in the surrounding areas and we made the most of the good weather to explore the amazing coastline and do some fossil hunting. Our kids loved the garden trampoline and also meeting Cookie the dog.

We felt very well looked after.

Stunning little cabin , beautifully decorated attention to detail perfect , most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in , lucky to have found this gem fantastic for nature lovers and walkers and just to detox from a busy life, I stayed here alone and left feeling relaxed and refreshed

Nothing to not not like

Location absolutely stunning. Beautiful views. Loved the wood burner, made it super cosy. Cabin stylishly decorated, very pretty. The record player was an unexpected treat. Enjoyed the sauna. Felt an additional charge was perfectly reasonable. Hosts delightful and helpful with everything, especially local knowledge. Plenty of outside space to sit and enjoy the views. Highly recommend if you need a break for body and soul.

Nothing at all!

On arrival at the property we met with James, he was very friendly and guided us down on where to park. He met us at the door and showed us around the cabin, ensuring we knew where everything was and the best places to visit. The property itself was very clean, tidy, and cosy, with all the necessities provided on arrival (fresh loaf of bread, milk, tea, coffee, sugar, butter etc…) As we visited in January, the cabin can be quite cold but it very quickly heats up and retains the heat! The record player was a very nice touch of calm and really supports the cosy and relaxing vibe. The bed up the ladder was very easy to navigate and more room in the mezzanine than you can expect, the beds were very comfortable. I would absolutely recommend this place to others and will be returning in the future!
