English OK and 1 Group per day Kusatsu Onsen Ichiju

The owners are fantastic! Masa showed us around the Onsen and answered all the questions we had. The room was lovely and comfortable. As other reviews mention, breakfast was absolutely exceptional! They were happy to accommodate a vegetarian and there was no compromise in the quantity or quality of the cooking. Would ABSOLUTELY recommend and would happily return in a heartbeat if we're in the area

Nothing, it was perfect

Persone strepitose. Ti accolgono come se fossi parte della famiglia. Il signor Kato e la moglie sono gentilissimi, e ho avuto modo di conoscere il figlio, che è stato simpaticissimo per tutta la serata. Grazie di vero cuore, il soggiorno a casa vostra è stato uno dei momenti più belli della mia vacanza. E la colazione che ha preparato la signora era veramente strepitosa: la più buona che abbia mai fatto in tutta la mia vita. Ci rivedremo sicuramente presto. Intanto, vi auguro una buona vita ❤️

Il prezzo è un po' alto per una persona sola, ma credo ne valga comunque la pena per l'incredibile esperienza e la colazione strepitosa.

Anfitrión súper amable, desayuno espectacular y espacio de sobra

Era tutto fantastico, la casa (poiché chiamarla camera sarebbe riduttivo) era spaziosa, luminosa, pulitissima e c'era tutto ciò di cui puoi avere bisogno. La posizione è eccellente; a meno di 5 minuti a piedi dal Bus Terminal (con annesso conbini), 3 minuti dallo Yubatake (e tutte gli onsen, i ristoranti ed i negozi li vicino) e circa 10 minuti dall'unico supermercato presente a Kusatsu. Gli host, sono due persone meravigliose che ti fanno davvero sentire come a casa. Di sicuro la migliore accoglienza che ho mai ricevuto in una struttura! Colazione autentica giapponese, buonissima e abbondante. Quando tornerò a Kusatsu sicuramente tornerò da Ichiju. Grazie mille Kato & Shinobu!!

Consiglio di portarsi una mascherina da notte poiché la luce la mattina arriva molto presto.

I had a wonderful stay at this Ryokan in Kusatsu. The room was very spacious and incredibly quiet, which made it perfect for relaxing. The breakfast was excellent — very delicious and beautifully prepared, although honestly a bit too much to finish! The owner and the cook were both extremely kind and welcoming, which made the experience feel very personal and warm. ,

The only downside was that from 5 a.m. onwards, I couldn't sleep anymore because the sunlight came directly into the room and it got quite bright. Some blackout curtains would really help. Overall, though, I would definitely recommend this place and would love to come back.

Incredible experience! I stayed here for two nights as a solo traveler, and the owners treated me like part of their family. Breakfast was delicious, filling, and uniquely Japanese! The selection of dishes was different each day, and some I had never even heard of before. The location is perfect—I could reach anywhere I wanted to visit with just 5–10 minutes of leisurely walking. They also provided two towels for use at the onsen, which was super convenient and saved me from having to bring my own.
