Withnell Stays - Apartment Four - Ground Floor

I loved playing on the PAC man machine and how we had two bathrooms. The kitchen looks amazing and the sofa was extra cosy

stayed here a few years ago and found it to be clean, comfortable, and very pleasant, which is why we decided to book again this year. Unfortunately, the property has declined significantly since our last visit. There were several maintenance issues throughout the accommodation, including brackets left on the walls where a TV had apparently been removed, screws protruding from the walls, and radiators that appeared loose and were hanging off. The mattresses were also in very poor condition, being extremely flat with springs that could be felt through them, making them uncomfortable to sleep on. We also experienced problems with the heating and hot water, which added further inconvenience to our stay. In addition, there were issues with the Wi-Fi, which was particularly frustrating as our children were unable to use their iPads. Cleanliness was another major concern. One of the reasons we chose to stay here again is that my child has a blood disorder, so cleanliness is especially important to us. However, the windows were dirty, and the worktops did not appear to have been cleaned properly. My partner ended up having to buy surface cleaner and window cleaner so we could clean parts of the accommodation ourselves. On the last day of our stay, I raised these concerns with a member of staff and asked whether a late check-out might be possible given the issues we had experienced. I was told that guests do not always treat the property well, but unfortunately this did not address the concerns we had. I was then informed that there would be an additional charge for a late check-out. I left feeling deeply disappointed and will not be returning, which is a real shame as this was once a lovely place to stay. To make matters worse, there were burst rubbish bags containing used nappies and other waste left outside around the side of the property.

My kids were so impressed with the arcade machine and the apartment was amazing

Excellent space and facilities. Iron and board excellent quality. Beds super comfy and bathrooms fab. 3 beds and one has an ensuite with shower. Value for money and housekeeper lovely. Took great pride in place which is lovely (had chat when we were leaving). Everything you need and really good quality throughout. Will definitely be back. Stayed in 3 bed apartment flat 4. Wonderful 😊.
