Duck Cottage - Cosy Cottage - Central Location

Well located. Parking is easy right outside of the house. Very warm and cozy. The view in the living room and master bedroom was very pretty.

Wish we could stay longer in this charming town.

Location a little hard to find but nice location.

The light on the electric fire didn't work so wasn't as cosy .low beams good if you're not too tall .

We have stayed in and around Haworth quite a lot recently, as we are working locally and Duck cottage is now high on our favourite list. Nothing could be described as "perfect" and there was a bit of wear and tear here and there, but everything worked and the whole place felt comfortable and welcoming - basically, the cottage has a "charming and lived in" feel about it and if you were actually living in it, that's how it would be. Access via Belle Isle Road is straightforward and faily flat and there is plenty of parking space next to the property on Butt Lane. The latter is quite steep (like most roads in Haworth), but parking is at 90 degrees to the slope, so you won't need wheel chocks! Groceries are within easy walking distance from a Spar or well stocked Co-op and it's a fairly short "climb" up Butt Lane to the pubs and restaurants in the Main Street, followed by an easy "roll" back down again! We loved the place and will certainly be checking availability for our next stay in the area.

If you criticised any aspect of the property, you would be criticising its fundamental charm, so there's nothing negative to say!

Not the best bed or bedding. Duvet not large enough for the bed!

Everything was great, we really enjoyed the cottage, nice comfortable bed, Very homely. The club next door is a bonus as they have a selection of beers at a fraction of the prices of the pubs on the main street. One thing I noticed is how friendly the locals are With good morning's and good afternoons. And a smile. I also think a good living could be earned by having a Road train for up them there hills.🚂🚃🚃🚃 Like the one in Llandudno 😜 So any budding entrepreneurs out there. Fill your boots...Also a bonus is we took our dog with us as Karen is a pet friendly host at no extra cost 🐕Thank You .

The KWVR railway was closed,As was a lot of the cafes and shops and parsonage museum till Wednesday.
