Finest Retreats - Victory Mill - Apartment One

Location and great heating. Ability to contact staff at all hours was vital and useful, as we arrived at 9 pm, and the apartment had not actually been cleaned since the last visitor, so needed to contact the management in order to obtain an alternative apartment within the unit.

The apartment had not been cleaned prior to arrival, with dirty towels, bed unmade dirty bathroom et cetera. Key code for main door functions intermittently required numerous attempts in order to open the main door.

Cold on arrival, difficult to get downstairs warm, no tv signal and streaming was rubbish,( no response from finest retreats about this) all 3 nights after an hour it stopped working, stairs were lethal with bare feet or socks on, 3 or 4 slips during our stay. No mirror in the bathroom or bedroom, no hairdryer or a little welcome pack, e. g tea, coffee, milk. We also had very noisy neighbours when going up to their apartments, hear voices and doors slamming.

Location is fanastic & Victory Mill is just a short walk from the lovely Thornton le dale were there are shops, cafes & pubs. Very peaceful & picturesque.

Didn't feel particularly welcolmed ....... just a small amount of tea, coffee, milk etc to make a drink on arrival after a long journey would've been nice. No toiletries, only the tiniest amount of liquid soap left in bathroom & there wasn't a hair dryer, All previous accomodation we have stayed in, without exception, have provided these. The location & building are stunning but felt slightly let down by the quality of the decor/interior furnishings etc (all Dunelm!). Haven't got a problem with Dunelm but for the cost to stay here we were expecting a slightly better quality & less penny pinching. This property has the potential to be amazing.

Nice environment. Large rooms. Quiet and rural setting with easy walks nearby.

The weather was hot (28degC) and the building was extemely warm and we couldn't cool down. We left one night early due to the heat and the consequential lack of sleep. Bedroom would benefit from having storage drawers

Lovely appartment like being at home as everything there you need.

Great location , quiet and 5min walk along a stream to the village shops

Great apartment, well equipped and very comfortable. Location was great and gave you easy access to North Yorkshire.
