Beautiful house in the heart of a golf course.

Excellent location for walking my dog. Property well lit at night. Felt safe and secure there. Beautiful accommodation, had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Excellent communication from the owner, answered all my messages promptly and got in touch immediately after my departure to let me know I’d left some jewellery items behind. They kindly kept them safe until I could return to collect them. I missed a message when travelling to the property - my fault, not the owner - and so had a few issues on arrival with the key code and opening the door. Another guest who was staying downstairs came to my rescue (before I found the message explaining everything). I didn’t ask your name ‘downstairs guest’, but thank you again for all your help, it was much appreciated. 😊

The parking was tight for our car. Could be an issue for an inexperienced driver or someone with a larger vehicle.

This property is not how it looks in the pictures, this property was not how it was described. I couldn’t tell you where the golf course was the only thing I seen was rubbish, cats and a care hone at the end of the street.

From the min we stepped foot out the car I was traumatised. Overflowing bins, fruit laying on the ground, cats eating from the garbage. A ladder going up to the top floor of the property with the window open. Carpets on the wall making it very clammy and an awful smell. Beds unmade with cups of juice next to them. We didn’t stay we took our kids out the property immediately after looking around and went into Manchester and booked a hotel. I’ve asked for a refund and called booking.com who have been great in assisting me. I think the owners of the property have either blocked me or ignoring my messages.

Absolutely terrible experience. We arrived at the property to find we could not gain access. The property looks pleasant enough and is a three story house split into four seperate accomodations. Family friends were staying in one of the other accomodations on site so we were able to shelter from the rain at least. We could not get an answer from the host other than him texting to say 'text me' after I'd tried to call. I text advising the situation but to date(5 days later), I've not had a reply. We had to arrange at short notice and increased cost, alternative accomodation as we couldn't get anyone at Booking.com to help either. What should have been a £200 stay in Manchester for one night ended up costing over £700 with increased fuel, accomodation and food/drinks costs. We'd brought food/drinks to have the property which we weren't allowed at the new accomodation. Once home, we contacted booking.com again to be initially advised they wouldn't compensate anything as we hadn't booked alternative accomodation through them, even though nothing available at the time was suitable. They've subsequently requested receipts for the increased costs but again, we've heard nothing back to date.

It was comfortable and homely. Really clean. Spacious and quiet.

I struggled to find the exact road for the house. It's very narrow and parking was not straightforward. However there was plenty of parking at the bottom of the little Lane which I would probably use next time. A tiny niggle but nothing to detract from the comfort of the house

Big rooms, reasonably equipped.

Access not great down a muddy cobbled path with no parking, difficult to find at night and lock to get into property very stiff.

The house was very cold when we arrived and we couldn’t turn on the heating system
