Location and comfortable and clean property, Very relaxing

Had a fantastic holiday at Galtee Mountain Lodge. It was perfect for our stay, it was spacious, very comfortable, spotless and equipped with everything we needed. Mary met us with a very warm welcome and treated us to some of her homemade Soda Bread and other treats. She gave us plenty of ideas of where to visit and eat. The Lodge is ideally placed to explore Ireland as it is central and you can be anywhere within 1 to 2 hours - we enjoyed visiting Wexford and the Hook lighthouse, Waterford and the Copper Coast, Blarney Castle and Gardens, Kinsale, Aillwee Caves and The Cliffs of Moher in County Clare as well as the Mitchelstown Caves, Rock of Cashel, Cahir Castle and Swiss Cottage which are all within the local area. The Ring of Kerry is a fantastic drive to do to take in the stunning views and parts of the Wild Atlantic Way. Mary was a great host, she also runs the Galty Valley Food Truck which serves fantastic food - not to be missed if you get the chance.

We really enjoyed our stay, so much so that we could have stayed longer, if we could have.The accommodation is nicely decorated, very clean and comfortable. We really felt at home. Mary is an amazing host. We were contacted before and during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. We were also provided lots of advice on where to visit and where to eat. We were a group of 3 and the accommodation was a perfect size for us. This is a perfect place to base yourself if you want to visit the surrounding towns. Highly recommended. We will be back!

Lovely, friendly, warm and helpful host. Accommodation was spotlessly clean, fully equipped and very comfortable. We had a wonderful weekend relaxing and exploring the local woods and mountains. Highly recommend.

Beautiful accommodation, modern, sparkling clean. Lots of space and the bed was super comfortable. The homemade bakes were special. Mary was such a warm and welcoming host.

Mary was a great host, it was like being in a home away from home. Great breakfast and looked after us very well.

We had a wonderful time at the place. Everything was great: beautifull rooms, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, and very warm and caring host. This is the perfect spot to just chill and relax, but can also be a good base for sightseeing. I hope to come back and will definitely recommend.

Beautiful property, really well equipped and lovely space for a family. Host was so friendly and everything was done to the highest standard. Our family (2 adult and 2 children) had a great gbreak in this fabulous property. Highly recommend

Beautiful and comfortable accommodation with everything that you could possibly need. Hosts were so welcoming with home made bread, cheese and chutney waiting for us on arrival. Mary and her family could not do enough for you. The location is very central for exploring the local area and a short drive to the beautiful town of Mitchellstown. Would recommend this property to anybody and we will definitely be back..
