The rooms were big and great value. Nice pool and amazing location

First of all, the hotel owner was very friendly, accommodating, kind and always available if I needed anything. This hotel was really peaceful and that is what I liked the most. The hotel room had everything I needed and was spotlessly clean. The bed was comfortable so I felt rested the next day. There are a lot of restaurants nearby and the hotel restaurant was also quite nice. I highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a calm and restful vibe.

I’m so glad I found Sonido del Mar! Tucked away from the street, with an entrance discreetly hidden behind a restaurant, this place is a peaceful oasis. It’s incredibly serene, with a space for both massages and rooftop yoga—both of which I took full advantage of. My favorite feature, though, was the outdoor ambiance around the pool. Throughout the day, calming ambient music plays softly in the background, creating a meditative atmosphere that made me feel completely at home. In the mornings and early evenings, I noticed a beautifully timed sequence of meditative bells, which gently prompted me into moments of stillness and reflection right there in the courtyard. There are so many cozy corners to settle into and center yourself—and it’s impressively quiet. The unit itself was fantastic: strong A/C, a perfect little kitchen, a comfy seating area, big patio, and a large, super comfortable bed. I could have easily stayed much longer. The staff, including Paola the owner, are kind, warm, and genuinely welcoming. If you're looking for a place that helps you stay grounded and connected to the purpose of your travels, this is it. I hope to return soon—maybe even for a longer stay, if Paola will have me :)
