We stayed at a few really great properties on our travels through the North Island, but this property made our family of 7 want to pack up our home in Australia and move right in. This beautifully restored cabin was absolutely gorgeous - fusing the aesthetic bones of the original building with gorgeous modern comforts. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals as if we were at home, the cabin was spacious, the beds and bedding super comfortable, the kids got such a kick out of the loft, and the outdoor tub was such a treat. The property itself and the animals were just stunning, and we were even invited to feed the calf, along with the super friendly horses, which made for some seriously happy city kids. The hosts here are so friendly and hospitable - we loved our stay, and hated having to leave. Thank you so much for such a memorable experience x

Awesome!!! Great spot. Awesome hosts. Great communication. Super friendly. Great spot to base from with family. Very farm orientated. Horses and calf were great for grandson.

Where to start, the quietness, the scenery, the animals, the comfort, the host all wonderful The hot tub is a bath, so don't expect to all pile in, and be patient whilst it heats up. The night sky is certainly worth the wait. Logs are all provided The cottage is very well equipped, and the bed was really comfortable and snuggly We followed Google maps, which found the property easily along with lookout points from the host

Wonderful set up. Extremely comfortable living, and we loved being around all the animals, such great personalities The landscape was absolutely gorgeous and it was wonderful to be really away from it all, but actually still pretty close to Whanganui.
