Rooms in City House nr Light Stadium

Quiet,convenient location.

Code for key box had been changed but new code not sent.As a result I had to contact the owner who told me the new code which was one number to replace the previous five.It did not work and she told me to hit the button hard,to no avail and so I had to wait outside for 35 minutes until she arrived.It did eventually work after she hit it very hard several times.Once inside I was told to remove my trainers and put on some used sandals.The floor was not carpeted and my trainers were clean and dry so I refused. The room was fine but when I asked for a key to my room I was told that it was not possible to lock rooms and that no one would enter.I suggested that I had valuables that needed to be locked in my room.I was told that everyone was honest and that god would ensure that nobody stole anything.Not assured by this I insisted on a key and was given one for a cupboard in the corridor containing her clothes which WAS locked!The remaining time of my stay was uneventful.

-Perfect location for my visit; only about 20 minutes walk from Bus & Train Stations, Town Centre and Family visits. There was even a Convenience Store Shop on the same Road. -Easy access to the property on arrival and Owner was easily contactable if/when required. -Very friendly Owner with good knowledge of the area. -Fully accessible kitchen facilities including Fridge, Microwave and Toaster.

No lock or bolt on the bedroom door...

The house is stunning. Anj is lovely as a host and so welcoming whilst at the same time leaving you to do your own thing, but always up for a friendly chit chat and to find how you're finding things. The value for money is exceptional. Everywhere is clean and spacious. The showers great and for me personally I loved there is also a bath there as I do enjoy a good soak. Really handy that there is a separate toilet too so you don't have to hang about to use the toilet if someone else is in the bathroom. Beds are big and really comfy too. Along with the size of the rooms. Made the most of the back massaging rocking chair in my room 😁 Location is ideal with it only being a couple of minutes walk from the centre of town. 10/10 would recommend and if I ever end up in Sunderland again, whether for business or leisure this would be my go to place.
