The Cottage - Snowdonia, North Wales

Very cosy but very small. Good shower but not much room for my husband, he couldn't get in and close the door. Good supply of hot water and property was nice and warm. The bathroom door is a folding door, it opens inwards rather than outwards. This proves quite difficult to get out. The bed was clean and comfy. I found someone's dirty socks in the bathroom. Sadly, washing machine was taped shut. Front door was also broken - stable door that couldn't bolt together - bolt broken. Gas boiler needed housing in, every time it was active the smell of gas was evident as the sofa is positioned so close. The utility meters (as you step inside) were also unsightly. The sofa has a low back so it was not comfortable for relaxing. We were greeted with a box of Ferrero Rocher and a bottle of bubbly which was a nice surprise. All in all, a property that could reach 10/10 with some TLC. Cleanliness was ok but there were cobwebs on walls and lots of grit and soot in the fireplace - it has an electric woodburner, which was great. This has potential to be a great property but I thought £540 for 4 nights was a bit too much.

Well equipped kitchen, comfy bed, home from home, pet friendly, welcome pack, location from zip world, friendly neighbour, countryside views, local shop walking distance.

Liked all of it! Only improvement but probably not practical/safe, would be to install a working wood burner in the fireplace, also we parked on neighbours drive who was very accommodating but think our space was around the back maybe a sign to make it more obvious. Out of owners control but would have liked a local pub to stroll to, think it’s due to be fully up running next year?

The location was superb, the whole cottage was clean and very cosy. Outside area is lovely although we didn't get much chance to use it unfortunately on our stay! Internet worked well, kitchen facilities fantastic.

Such a lovely stay at this cottage. Perfect for a night away to relax
