We wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life and this is exactly what the place offers. It's quiet, secluded, green, full of beautiful birds; it's a 20 minute walk to Axminster where you can do groceries, and find a great bookshop, and nice restaurants, cafes, and pubs. From there you can also get a bus or a train and explore Devon and Dorset, which we did (the cliffs and the beaches are wonderful).

There was nothing I did not like. The only nice addition, perhaps, could be one these big umbrellas to sit under when it's hot and a sun lounger, when there's a heatwave, and it's just too hot to go on a trip.

I would recommend this property 100% to any one who would love a peaceful getaway but easy reach of seaside or towns close bye .15.to.20 min drive from Lyme regis lovely traditional seaside town plenty of little shops and eating .So if you want peace but a little bit going on close bye this is ideal .Very very comfortable the best nights sleep such a comfortable bed ,lovely Shower plenty to cook and do meals with lovely to have, Well we were lucky with weather so Breakfast outside every morning or little breakfast bar inside , bumped into Martin once but didn't need to trouble hosts as everything was perfect , But if had needed them they were on hand and sure would have addressed any problem. The seclusion, lots of space in the hut, very clean, nice touches like a bird book to identify the bird visitors, the playing cards and a little quiz game. Lovely to sit by the fire pit in the evening

So peaceful. Lovely hut. Bed very comfortable. Biscuits and milk on arrival very much appreciated.

Could have done with a general waste bin. Couldn't find it if there was one. Not a big issue though.

Only negative was, we found the pillows a little flat, but that’s personal choice.

Couple staying for 2 nights, wish it was longer....The shepherds hut was exceptional. Surprisingly big inside. The double doors made it very fresh and airy. Lovely breakfast bar opposite a large double wide opening window. Grounds were immaculate. Very quiet area with the only sound was the sound of birds. Little bunny joined us every morning! Firepit and logs/kindlin supplied. Bbq. Bed was the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in. Can't wait to book again...

Quiet and secluded. Very easy to access Axminster and the surrounding area.

Everything was perfect for our stay and we will certainly be returning. The location is so peaceful and homely, a real gem!
