Cozy Private Home Newly Renovated #3

I just have to say I had an amazing stay! The place was perfect and had everything we needed. Fridge, microwave, stove, and two full beds in separate rooms. The heated floors were a great!, and the shower/restroom was easy to use and very comfortable. The location is excellent. There’s a 7-Eleven right across the street, plus a CU and Emart a short walk away. There are plenty of restaurants, cafés, and a nearby bus stop, which made getting around super convenient. Namsan tower was really close and you get a pretty view from the place when you walk outside. One thing to be aware of: depending on how you arrive, you may need to walk down a hill or go up a set of stairs. I recommend taking the stairs as it’s much easier. Our host, Joe, was wonderful he was very attentive, accommodating, and quick to respond. He even left us a small gift before we left, which made the whole experience even more special. I highly recommend staying here and would definitely book again!

Das Apartment ist in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße eines beliebten Stadtteils, wo man am Abend zu Fuß die Gastronomie mit all ihren Bars und Restaurants ausprobieren kann. In der Nähe gibt es sogar einen Jazz Live Club. Das Apartment ist sehr gemütlich eingerichtet, dass ich eigentlich gar nicht nach Hause wollte. Der Gastgeber Joe ist ein richtig toller Typ und war jederzeit erreichbar, falls man Fragen hatte.

Es gibt nichts zu bemängeln aus meiner Sicht.

Very spacious property with a beautiful view of the area. A very responsive host that came and checked on us multiple times just in case we needed anything when we were home also gave us some suggestions that were really helpful. I will be back in Seoul and booking here.

Location was good. Easy self check-in with keys that felt secure. Water pressure was great. Lots of towels provided. Functional kitchen with gas hob. Host seemed very friendly, although we never met them.

I’ve been prompted a few times by Booking for a review, so I’ll be honest, I wasn’t impressed with the place. The listing described the property as: a) cozy, and b) newly renovated, but I don’t think I would agree with either. There was bubble wrap stuck to the windows (for insulation?), and the floors had seemingly been covered with linoleum in a very DIY way. Both rooms had synthetic sheets with stains which just made me a bit uncomfortable with the cleanliness of the place. The bathroom was probably the area I was most uncomfortable with: the grouting on the wall tiles had been haphazardly painted with white, presumably to cover up the blackened grouting that was still visible elsewhere; there didn’t seem to be any extractor fan, which had led there to be mould on the ceiling; the floor seemed dirty, and the pipes and door all seemed to have been renovated in the same DIY fashion as the rest of the house. The bathroom layout, which I understand is common for Korean homes, means that the whole bathroom gets wet, so going to the toilet after showering means crossing a very wet floor. There is no problem with this in essence, but the slippers provided for this purpose were covered in black mould. I really hate being harsh on this place, because the host seemed lovely, but it just felt very badly cared for :(. I’m confused about the high rating, because it really didn’t match expectations. I’ve never left a negative review on Booking, but it felt necessary because other places we stayed on this trip to Korea in both Seoul and Busan were significantly cheaper and significantly better.

Easy to access. Right out of the subway, the host had included the photos on how to access the property. Both accessible by foot and small buss. The owner was responsive and kind.

The property was absolutely lovely! Everything was spotless, and the owner went above and beyond to make sure we felt completely comfortable. The view of Seoul is breathtaking — truly something special! The location is perfect, with a 24-hour 7-Eleven and a bus station just nearby. The host’s communication was amazing and so friendly
