RUM DESERT LUXURY CAMP & Bubble room

Accommodation is otherwise good, food is good, staff very friendly.

The accommodation switches off the aircon during the day. This is their practice. I contacted the Manager Basel to get the aircon switched on. Wadi Rum is a desert and the temperature is fairly high even at this time of the year during the day. It took me two hours to get the air con going. This is not something that should happen.

The young lad who drove us on the tours was very good.

The accommodation was not luxury and was not as advertised. We had to be moved to a different camp and Basel, the man who took our money was rude and also lied to us about tours we booked through him. Me and my 3 fiends and two Lebanese women from Dubai were the only ones in the camp... We all had the same experience. They complained a lot as they too were lied to by Basel. In the end we were supposed to stay there an extra night.. But we booked somewhere else and just wanted to get out. Extremely disappointing. To add to this, we went into the kitchen behind the eating facility and what we were greeted with was disgusting. Food everywhere... Bread and vegetables left on the floor. It was filthy. I don't think I've ever left a bad review in my life... Food was left uncovered with flies all over it. This is what they served up to us later that day. It made us physically sick.... I just can't help but warn people about this particular experience.

The pictures does not match the real thing. The tents was very dirty and not that fancy as the picture shows! Is they changes the pictures and make you as a guest know that you booked it will be much better! But they were nice and helped with tours and food! The food is a bit expensive but you’re in the desert and can chose anything else

They say there is free parking near by...but you can not arrive at the accomodation with own car (you need a jeep) so they will transfer you. If you do not buy an activity from them (like 2hours desert tour approx 25JOD/pers) they will charge you JUST FOR THE TRANSFER with 20 JOD/pers for a 10 mins drive. There is no way you can walk to the accomodation so you need transfer from the staff. The AC will be ON starting from 11 pm (to make the room warmer) but it didnt work all night long. We were freezing. The accomodation is ok, not luxury but it works for 1 night only.

The camelride and the beautiful nature.

The pictures are not from the camp, they use someone else's pictures. The bubbles are dirty, bathroom is dirty, either scorching hot water or ice cold. Not possible to take a shower because of the extreme water temperature. One little towel to use for everything. You have to pay to get picked up and taken to the camp, not possible to drive with your own car. No previous information about that beforehand. They will try to sell you some expensive tours and advise not to talk to anybody else. No food option besides the beduine meal, for one night it's ok but if you stay longer you will have to eat the same food every day. No words for breakfast...bad, very bad. We learn afterwards it's not even close to the 'real' wadi rum but outside somewhere. They stated it's heated in the bubbles, someone turns the heat on at midnight and turns it off some hour(s) later. As soon as the sun sets at 6-7pm it's cold. Bring warm clothes with you. I don't understand how Booking.com allows this kind of fake advertisement.
