Snug Studio in the heart of the city

Check-in was a breeze and the host was very communicative. I'm an international student and I needed a place to stay while I found housing. I was traveling with a lot of luggage and the host was very accommodating about dropping off my luggage before check-in. This was such a big help as otherwise I would have had to wait at the airport for about 6 hours until the regular check-in time. There are several lock boxes in the location described but the picture makes it clear which is the correct one. The building felt very secure and required the key fob to enter or operate the elevator. The studio is in an unbeatable location. It's right next to the AUT campus and near several bus lines. Albert Park and the Auckland Art Gallery (free and highly recommended!) are just a few blocks away. There are several small stores and eateries nearby if you forgot anything or need a quite bite to eat. There are plenty of eScooters scattered about to rent if you don't want to take public transit. The unit itself is clean and comfortable. I had plenty of room to myself but two people with a lot of luggage would find it quite snug indeed. The kitchen had basic cookware essentials and an electric kettle so I was able to prepare simple meals. The shower was clean and had good water pressure. The in-unit washer was very helpful for my longer stay and I was able to air dry things in the bathroom. The universal adapter was a thoughtful touch. Overall, I felt like I had everything I needed for a comfortable week's stay.

The fridge could use a good airing out and baking soda to absorb whatever bad smell is in there. It was quite cold and wet the week of my stay, so perhaps this wouldn't be an issue most of the time, but the space heater struggled to warm even just the bathroom. I'm used to cooler temperatures but I think most people would find the studio too cold. I ended up purchasing a space heater with a fan from the Warehouse nearby which did a much better job of keeping the space a comfortable temperature.

Nothing it was filthy dirty… unclean!!!

I stayed one night ( it was too late to find another property) in a filthy dirty apartment with dirty sheets still on it. Dirty shower, dirty floors. Moved out first thing ….unshowered to another hotel…. I requested a full refund from this horrendous experience and the offer me only half my money back! Seriously!!! Everything was filthy from the plates, cups the dishwasher stank. I want all my money back!

I like the property and location.

Just need a foot mat in the washroom. Rest all things are really good.

Didn't like anything. Delapidated, dirty, no tea or coffee mugs, description on booking.com did not match reality. I messaged host and told him this so he changed part of the description ( removed ' "separate dining area". linen was clean.

Facility needs to be correctly described- tiny rabbit hole - needs proper kitchen kit out; building is generally not well maintained. Is in university area so basically is substandard student accommodation
