Communication was excellent, the warm welcome including the fresh flowers was really thoughtful, the house was clean and had everything that you would need. The location to the train station and centre was also spot on.

Attention to detail. Very clean and comfortable. Clearly a much loved property. Beautiful garden and home. Very thoughtful touches such as breakfast items provided. Owner very responsive, very polite, clear instructions.

House looks like in the picture. Giving British country side vibes. All electronics working fine. However there are a lot of spiderwebs around the house so if you have Arachnophobia then I wouldn’t recommend you to stay here.

To explain why we rate 6 stars, it’s not because the property is not nice or dirty or anything, but more like a personal experience and personal feeling from our stay. We were inform that we can check-in at 16.00 and have to check-out at 10.00 which is quite early from normal standard but understandable. However, when we check-out, we saw another guests waiting in front of the house. This kinda make me a bit confuse and wonder, because shouldn’t the check-in time suppose to be from 16.00 ? Since we couldn’t come to the house before 16.00 on arrival day, seeing other customers checking in at 10.00 is really giving us questions in our mind. But anyway, we were at false as well, we were having an unfortunate problem on our side, our car broke down. So we ask the host if we can stay a bit longer ( 10-15 minutes) while trying to figure out how to go home without a car. But the host deny that (she said “no, you have to get out now - no “let me see if there’s anything I can do to help” or “let me ask if the new guests will be okay if we wait inside the house for a few more minutes” ). So,.. well,to be fair and think from the owner POV, it’s understandable that she wants us to leave immediately because 1. She already make it clear that the check-out time is 10.00 , 2. Her new guests is already waiting outside the door (but, like I said before, shouldn’t the check-in time be after 16.00?? ) We feel like her action towards us was a bit indifferent, kinda feel like she wants to get rid of us because her new coming guests is waiting and she wants to take a good care of them more than she wants to take care of us. It’s true, that our problem is not her problem. But it was not something we plan for it to happened, not that we want to hang around for our own pleasure or took advantage from the booking. With the price we paid, we were hoping for a bit ( only just a bit, seriously ) better treatment, or at least a sympathy. Because if the check-in time is really from 16.
