The Deer Hut at Carr House Farm

We have just had a fantastic stay at The Deer Hut. I initially booked for the wrong date and the owners were SO helpful when I emailed explaining this and got it sorted for me with no issues. Getting to the property was nice and easy, the location is just perfect. The Deer hut is located in a lovely grassed area surrounded by fields and amazing views, close by is their other 'hut' The Pear Tree, which is also lovely, this was occupied on the same night and we still felt like we had our own space and didn't hear anything from the other guests. The Deer Hut is decorated lovely and has everything that you would need, air fryer, toaster, kettle/tea/coffee, very comfy chairs, lanterns and the best feature.. the log burner! We were provided with enough logs to last us our entire stay and from lighting to fire on arrival at around 4pm, it kept us warm until the morning! The hut is quite 'small' however we had our 2 spaniels with us and we found it just to be enough space without feeling cramped at all! The bed was very comfy and we had a great nights sleep! There are compost toilets close by which were spotless, or if that isn't for you there was a proper mains toilet a short walk away. All in all we had such a fantastic stay at The Deer Hut and we really can't wait to go back. If you have dogs we highly recommend to visit Cayton Bay Beach before or after your stay, it's only a 5 minute drive away and it is so wonderful. Thank you for the perfect stay!

Gorgeous off grid getaway but not too far out from things, loved staying here with my husband for a chilled NYE. Loved the outdoor shower in the morning. Self check in but owner messaged with full details and was accommodating. Bed very comfy for a cabin stay.

Gorgeous, cosy chalet hut with everything you might need. The outdoor shower was hot and powerful. The compost loo was clean and close by.

It was lovely, no complaints.

The location was quiet and peaceful. The decor was warm and homely. The outdoor showers are incredible.
