House of Tugu, Old Town Jakarta

Cet hôtel est incroyable, la décoration est sublime, elle met en valeur l'art indonésien dans toute sa beauté. On a l'impression d'être dans un musée et en même temps une jungle. Le dépaysement est garanti. Le service est parfait, le personnel aux petits soins et d'une grande gentillesse. Chambre très confortable. Le petit déjeuner a vraiment dépassé nos attentes. On gardera un excellent souvenir de cet endroit et clairement cet hôtel a sublimé notre passage à Jakarta.

My stay at House of Tugu was beyond all expectations. The property itself is absolutely unique – more like staying inside a living museum than a hotel. I was even given a complimentary museum tour, which made the experience even more special. The room was gorgeous, beautifully designed, and I was pleasantly surprised with an upgrade upon arrival. Afternoon tea and dinner were outstanding – among the best I’ve had anywhere. The atmosphere was calm and intimate, never crowded, which made the entire stay feel even more exclusive. Without hesitation, I can say this is the best hotel I have ever stayed in. A truly exceptional place that I recommend with the highest praise.

I do not think that you can find anything that you won't enjoy to the fullest.

Upon entry I did not really know what to think. The super friendly staff welcomed us and we walked a bit further in the hotel. Its an amazing museum with lots of fantastic art collected since 1880. Its full and hectic and you can look everywhere. The rooms have a very clean and calming design. Perfect for a good night rest. Great location if you want to see the old town, which is nice to see for an hour or two.

The place is packed with art and each time I passed through the hotel I discovered new pieces to enjoy. The staff was exceptionally friendly and the service excellent.

Upon arrival at the hotel, everything was amazing. We were greeted with a cold towel and lovely fresh drink. We were then taken to our (upgraded!) room and offered a tour of the hotel grounds to get the lay of the land. The buildings and facilities are absolutely gorgeous and unique. Upon completion of the tour, we sat down for the included afternoon tea service at Babah Koffie which was so much more than I was expecting - it was almost like a meal! We had dinner at the other restaurant in the hotel, Jajaghu Restaurant. The green prawn curry and butter chicken curry dishes were wonderful! Breakfast the next morning was included and was also amazing. The coffee was to die for and we purchased some bags of coffee beans from their shop to take home. They allowed us a late check out and we also booked 30 minute massages for each of us, which were much more extensive than I was expecting. The back/neck massage was perfect before our long evening flight home. Wish we had booked a longer stay here!
