The bungalows are lovely and secluded staring out into the jungle. The staff are AMAZING. I got sick during our jungle trek and had to get out through a fairly dodgy route and the staff all came together to help me get out. The hotel booked me a different hotel as the jungle guide was booked for the night I was on a trek and brought me tea and medication to help. The next day, they transferred me back to the hotel. All of the employees are absolutely lovely and make the stay well worth it!

Het was gewoon ontzettend gezellig daar. Ze doen er alles aan om je thuis te laten voelen. Elke avond lekker meezingen met de gitaar. Mijn zoon werd 14 en dat hebben we feestelijk gevierd. Super dank daarvoor. Onze gidsen Nata, Dito en Abirto hebben goed voor ons gezorgd tijdens de jungle trek en de wandeling naar de batcave. Ook toen mijn andere zoon niet lekker werd tijdens de trek werd er meteen voor een oplossing en alternatieve route gezorgd. Wij waren 4 weken in Indonesië en dit was echt het leukste plekje. De hutjes zijn basic, maar hebben echt een top ligging. Ik was blij met de ventilator die in de nacht aan kon.

Helemaal niks. Gewoon lekker genieten van de jungle ervaring!

We spent four nights at The Jungle Guide with our teenagers, aged 14 and 18. From the moment we arrived, we received an extremely warm welcome. In the evenings, the staff take the time to sing and play the guitar, creating a very peaceful atmosphere. The lodges are not very spacious, but that's not a problem. They are very clean and have a small balcony with a hammock. The two showers are shared between the three lodges. They are clean and well laid out. There is no hot water (this is the case in most accommodation in Bukhit Lawang). but this is not a problem as the climate here is hot and humid. The cool showers are therefore very welcome. And finally, a big thank you to Antonio, our wonderful guide, and Sabaru, his assistant. They guided us throughout our stay: tour of the village, two-day trek in the jungle, visit to the Bat Cave. They are very professional, friendly and have a great sense of humour. Antonio taught us a lot about the local flora, fauna and customs. Rio, the cook, also prepared a great meal for us during the trek, so thank you to him too. Sabaru, the young assistant, went out of his way to make our stay easier. And always with a smile. We were impressed by his courage. Leaving here was not easy, but we are leaving enriched by these wonderful encounters.

Best place I ever stayed! Every single member of the stuff is helping you with everything you need. Never felt so supported! I also did a jungle treck. This was my best adventure ever. They don't feed the animals, it's most ethical way to go with them! The view from the bungalow is just amazing! Everything was clean. The foot is super tasty! Fall in love with the place and will come back as soon as possible! Such an incredible time!

Short walk from the village but staying literally inside the jungle. Really great staff, friendly, clean facilities, clean room. Good breakfast.

It's a short walk to the village by the river, but it's a lot of stairs so keep that in mind if you're someone with mobility issues. The stairs are actually very well maintained and are very well built.

immersed in nature it offers splendid rooms in huts and a central area where you can eat and hang out. The strong point of this place is the staff, really nice and prepared guys who make you feel good right away, it is possible to do tours in the jungle with them, we did the two-day one with our guides Rismanto and Risky who made us feel great, they are really wonderful people. Highly recommended

Comfy beds, sweet, friendly hosts/workers who were very accommodating, the huts are very cool looking (hammocks). It’s amazing they’re really in the jungle but still nearby where you wanna be. A good price for what you get. Washrooms are nice and clean. Everyone hangs out in the main shared area (restaurant area) and plays guitar and plays cards in the evening (but not too late, quiet hours are respected). During the rainy season, you can swim in the pools of the waterfall that is literally one second away from the lodge.

You had to climb a lot of stairs to get to the bungalows. Although the description said nothing about it. Which was fine for us but cautious for anyone with issues

The jungle trek was really nice. Staff very friendly. Food super tasty!

Room was a bit small and there are not really areas to chill. Only one hammock on the balcony.
