Super mooie locatie! Ook een jungle trekking bij hun geboekt en dat was fantastisch geregeld, met heerlijk eten!

Nuestra experiencia fue absolutamente inolvidable. Lo primero que deben saber los viajeros es que esto no está “cerca” de Medán: desde el aeropuerto hay unas cuatro horas de coche, pero precisamente ahí está parte de la magia. Cuando llegas, entiendes que has aterrizado en otro mundo: una pequeña aldea rural junto al río, completamente rodeada de jungla y apartada de la civilización. Desde España toda la comunicación fue facilísima tanto por Booking como por WhatsApp. Respondieron siempre rapidísimo y con muchísima amabilidad, ayudándonos además a organizar todos los traslados desde y hasta el aeropuerto y también el tipo de trekking que queríamos hacer. Nos alojamos en una cabaña con baño privado y estuvimos muy cómodos. No hay aire acondicionado, pero sí ventiladores y mosquiteras, y sinceramente forman parte de la experiencia de vivir la jungla de una manera respetuosa y sostenible. Todo el alojamiento tiene una estética eco-rural muy cuidada y un ambiente humano maravilloso. Lo mejor de todo fue el trekking. Hicimos el Honeymoon Trekking de 2 días y 1 noche con nuestros guías Rismanto (“Antonio”) y Adam, y fueron increíbles. Se nota que han crecido literalmente en la jungla: conocen perfectamente las plantas, animales y caminos. El trato fue siempre cercano, cariñoso y profesional. Tuvimos la enorme suerte de ver muchísimos orangutanes y otros primates en libertad. Dormir junto al río en el campamento de la jungla fue una experiencia mágica.

¿Qué no te gustó del alojamiento? Más que algo negativo, creo que es importante que los futuros viajeros entiendan bien el tipo de experiencia que van a vivir. Esto es jungla real: hay muchísimo calor, humedad, barro y desniveles. El trekking es físicamente exigente y no es un simple paseo. Hay que venir preparado para sudar y esforzarse bastante. Personas mayores o con poca movilidad probablemente lo pasarían mal. Tampoco hay aire acondicionado, aunque sí ventiladores y mosquiteras. Para nosotros eso forma parte del encanto y de la filosofía sostenible del lugar, pero conviene saberlo antes de venir.

The cabin was nestled into the jungle, overlooking a beautiful jungle view and natural waterfall fed pool. We saw monkeys from our balcony as well! The restaurant sells lovely food which was great value for money, with a great selection for vegetarians. The staff were so lovely and made us feel so welcome. If you are interested in doing the jungle treks in Bukit Lawang, we cannot recommend the jungle guide enough. We did the 2 day 1 night tour, and it was one of the best things we have ever done. Yosia and Adam were beyond great, they knew so much about the jungle and were so kind and funny. Rio was an amazing cook and made some of the best food we have had in Indonesia ( you will never go hungry ). Cannot recommend the trek enough, especially if you’re lucky enough to do it with Yosia and Adam!

No niestety zachęcony dobrymi notami zarezerwowałem dwie noce, były to najgorsze dwie noce z czternastu w Bukit Lawang. Za każdym razem szukałem czegoś na uboczu z dala od hałasu. Mam wrażenie że na obiekcie najważniejsze jest trekking do orangutanów i restauracja serwująca niezbyt dobre dania i w zawyżonych cenach( zważywszy że transport żywności jest bardzo łatwy). W tej że restauracji załoga próbuje pół nocy grać na gitarze i śpiewać, a że wychodzi im to bardzo słabo to tylko hałasują, nie dając nacieszyć się dźwiękami przyrody. Na szczęście nie nocowałem w sobotę bo jak się dowiedziałem grają do 2 w nocy. Kolejnym problemem wielkość pokoju na booking,com jest informacja 11m2, ale nie napisali że tyle ma z tarasem, sam pokój ma około 6m2 po odjęciu łóżka na dwie osoby i 2 plecaki zostaje jakieś 2m2 podłogi, taka mała norka. Poduszki strasznie śmierdziały, co mnie zdziwiło że już były komentarze zgłaszające ten fakt, personel przyniósł mi drugie, które też śmierdziały ale już mniej, przykryłem ją własną koszulką i już można było się położyć. Tak więc podsumowując komfortu nie znajdziecie tu żadnego, łazienka współdzielona, rano są kolejki, brak ciepłej wody. Ciszy i spokoju również tu nie znajdziecie bo hałas z restauracji nie pozwoli ci na to. Na koniec mają psa który nie jest zbyt przyjazny a lata wolno po obiekcie.
