The whole experience was great! Se had auch a cool 2 Day Trekking Tour with the Guiness Monang and Jerry and saw animals like orang utans, monkeys, warans, colorful birds and insects. We slept in the lodge just for two nights before the trek. I can recommend having a day at the lodge to adjust to the hot climate and the place is also worth it staying at for a bit. The river is super refreshing and you can enjoy the atmosphere of being very close to the rainforest while still having the benefits of civilization. There are several good restaurants in the village at the river and the hotel has one as well with a pretty view. The staff was very friendly and helpful! The room has a great atmosphere , since you wake up in the middle of trees and have the sound of the forest when you fall asleep. It is really relaxing to sit in the hammock and just watch and listen. However, it is not luxurious. The room is small and of course it is warm. At night it gets cooler, then it’s fine and there is a fan as well. It is quite open, so theoretically insects can enter, but we did not have problems with that and there is a good net around the bed. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were smelly, I think they haven’t dried correctly after washing. If you want comfort, maybe it is not for you. If you want peace and quiet and a great nature experience, I would definitely chose this lodge, it is mich more silent and close to nature than the hotels down at the river. The trek for sure is a 100% recommend! Thank you for the great time :)

The only thing I would improve were the smelly pillows.

Breakfast was good. The natural pool was refreshing.

More of a hostel than a lodge. No hot water. We didn’t care for Juan to start, but when I was not around, he asked my husband if he loved his wife and suggested other women. Not sure where he was going with that but it made my husband very uncomfortable, he walked away and we left a day early.

De ontzettend lieve mensen, die er alles aan doen, zodat je je welkom voelt. Het is één warme familie samen. De lodge zijn prachtig, schoon en midden in de natuur. Hier vandaan start meteen de jungle tour.

Skvělá lokalita, ochotný personál - pomohli s veškerým zařizováním - zařídili hned na druhý den trek v džungli, poté nám pomohli se zařízením dalšího transportu. Naši průvodci na treku Yosyi a Adam byli skvělý, vše nám ukázali, vysvětlili, nebylo co vytknout.

Vzhledem k deštivým večerům bychom byli ocenili, kdyby byla možnost i sprchy s teplou vodou.

I like everything about this place !!! Location is amazing !!! The small hut in the jungle is awesome !!! With the hamoc on the balcony !! Woowww !! super clean.. shared bathroom super good too.

I like the place it was perfect... The only thing I would say it's that they sell you a tour in the jungle... Like everybody else in Bukit Lawang by the way. But the tour with them for me it wasn't the best... The guide we had was not enjoying is job, he said that he was tired of being a guide and wanted to be a boss after like 1-2 hours of hike... we had 3 days 2 nights !!! 🤦🏼‍♂️ So he didn't explain much and the helper didn't speak English so it's not is fault he couldn't explain things to us... And finally by looking a other groups, because your seeing alot of other groups in the hike, it's like ours was cheaper (food, mattress, sleeping blanket) not by alot but still... The place a 1000% go there !!!! 😍 The tour, I'll go search in town for another one if I had to redo it.

We fell in love with this place. First of all - the location. You feel like in the jungle (the nature around is absolutely stunning), but you are still close to the village. There are waterfalls and pools you can swim in! The cabins are cute and comfy, the restaurant has great area to hang out, good food, amazing views. We went on one day jungle tour and we absolutely loved it. They really made sure we were going to have great memories - and we do now! (we saw orangutans! so happy). And the most important thing - the staff. The people who work here are amazing, they did everything in their power to ensure we had an unforgettable stay. Do yourself a favour and stay here if you have a chance!
