De Ginkgo in het hart van Hoorn

The apartment was beautiful and well Equipped. The bed was very comfy. There is a lovely little balcony outside the kitchen overlooking an inner courtyard. A lovely place for breakfast. The owners made us feel very welcome. Hoorn is a lovely small town, with a harbour regularly visited by tall ships. Would really recommend the apartment.

Magnificent property with a truly exceptional design and feel. The host was friendly and helpful. He thought about everything; the apartment was very well equipped with lots of attention to detail in every corner of the house. This is a special place that we will be happy to stay at again, on our next visit to Hoorn.

Decorated in an unusual, quirky, and fun way. Lots of collectibles, mid-century and turn of the century furniture, eclectic colour scheme, and cute eye candy everywhere. The outside balcony was wonderful, with an internal courtyard and a view of the Church Dome.

There is no bathroom on the bedroom floor, and stairs must be negotiated, which requires care at night. Though the furniture is cool, it's not actually all that comfortable, but this is a minor complaint. Stairs throughout, so not possible for anyone with mobility problems.

The location was great, very central to all amenities, there was a vast selection of restaurants depending on your food choice and pocket. I had the pleasure of dining in a Michelin recommended restaurant for my birthday it was excellent. There are also some great fish, and butchers as well as excellent cheeses shops, which we availed off, as the kitchen in our accommodation was very well furnished for an enthusiastic cook. We did lots of walking, hired a tandem and did some sight seeing by bike, saw interesting wild life-herons seem to be particularly visible in and around Hoorn. We parked our car in an underground car park recommended by our host-extremely secure and very reasonable priced. Overall, we had a very relaxing week and would certainly recommend the accommodation and the city to others.

A beautiful, light, spacious place to stay. Extremely clean and a helpful host. Full of stylish character and a great location in town. Hoorn is a super town.

Apartment was absolutely amazing, every time I turned my head was another WOW!!! Location was perfect, close to shops and restaurants
