We had an amazing time staying at the Old Rectory. Liz (plus her two dogs and her cat) gave us a very warm welcome. The house - as the name says - is a 200 years old rectory, lovingly restored and tended by Liz and looking like a film set for a costume drama. The bedroom was very cosy (with a great selection of English literary classics!), breakfast - including eggs from Liz‘s chickens, which you might meet wandering on the road to the house - is served in a wood-panelled dining room.

The most wonderful B & B,absolutely faultless on every level. We couldn't have wished for better. Lovely Room,comfortable bed,beautiful breakfast - & all fantastic local produce. Our wonderful Host,Liz,treated us like family,so warm,welcoming & friendly. A little piece of paradise. Just what we needed. Good Rest,Good Food & Fabulous Care & Conversation. "Loved every minute of our stay"

We were warmly greeted by Liz as soon as we arrived, and from there our stay at The Old Rectory felt as comfortable as being at home. Liz is a superb host and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed during our 2 night stay. The house is just beautiful and our bedroom was comfortable and cosy, and the bathroom next door was extremely spacious. Liz served a beautifully cooked breakfast each morning with plenty of hot coffee. The ingredients for the breakfast are all locally sourced and were cooked to perfection. The location is stunning. Beautiful surroundings in gorgeous countryside. We visited Brecon, Usk and Abergavenny (all relatively close and well worth visiting) and climbed Pen Y Fan (about an hour’s drive). All in all a superb place to stay and highly recommended.
