Exclusive LOFT in Ruzafa (SOHO)

Great location. Extremely well equipped. Everything was clean and brand new. The communication with the owner was also great. Highly recommended!

Great place for a family of 3 or 4, with all the amenities you need, located on a very good area, walking distance to city center.

It would be great if they could offer a space where to leave your luggage before and after you check in. We were lucky our friends stayed in a different location on the same street and they had a room with lockers that we used as well. Otherwise, we would have had to pay to leave our bags somewhere.

Toaster did not work Steps to 2nd bedroom where very steep and if you were over 5ft 5ins you could not stand up.

Nothing, everything was as expected

It is hard to say. It appeared to be a friendly property until they had an opportunity to make more money off of us. Then their true colors were revealed.

My friend and I booked a week of “Exclusive LOFT in Ruzafa (SOHO)” during Fallas. Two weeks before, I broke my leg and contacted the property to ask my options. I was a few days past the cancellation period, something I understood. Sergio said either my friend could use the loft or, if I cancel and it is rebooked, we would receive the difference in the form of a refund. We agreed to the possible refund and cancelled, forfeiting the full price ($1200) Several days after Fallas, I contacted the property and they said it was partially booked so only a partial refund was possible. I trusted them. That was fair, it was the risk we took. That was the last I heard from Sergio. I sent a message once a week. After a month, I contacted Booking who sent them a message asking to honor the agreement. 10 Days after no response, Booking called the property and only then were told the owners did not approve of the refund. Booking has to honor the terms in the fine print and I understand - their support tried everything at their disposal. Cancellations normally don't have reviews; however they allowed me to write this under the circumstances. They were wonderful in my opinion. We didn’t expect the property to lose any money. We would have been happy with a partial refund even if they made some extra for their troubles. The property wanted everything and more and were willing to lie to a devastated person dealing with an accident to get it. My friend surely would have used the loft if we knew there was no chance at a refund. Knowing they are willing to lie and avoid to this degree, do you feel safe giving this property your money, your information, trusting them with your holiday? It may be a beautiful place, but if something out of the ordinary happens during the stay - are these the people you want to have to work with? This is my first critical review in about 10 years on Booking. I hope this helps others avoid poor experiences in the future. Safe travels.
