Stunning property with lovely period features , we really enjoyed all the rooms to relax in and the restaurants and bar. We had a complimentary upgrade and the room was stunning. The staff at the tasting restaurant were fantastic

The spa needs improvement to align with the style and quality of the property.

The ‘Brasserie’ is now in the golf clubhouse - and it lacks any depth of personality. It’s really quite un-ambiente and bland. We were very disappointed they had moved the informal restaurant to the clubhouse. The food was tepid. It was not somewhere we felt relaxed.

Clean and spacious with such care taken on seasonal decorations. Truly wonderful dining areas and lots of space to relax.

Pool showers (female) were tepid .

Good gym facilities.

The shower drainage system was broken and no refund or reduction in cost was offered which was not very good service for a five star hotel. Salad portions for dinner were small (£90 charged for 1 couple’s meal in the ‘casual’ dining restaurant) and the toast for breakfast was a like a cheap Hovis loaf with cold butter at the side - would expect sourdough given the cost. Cutting corners it would seem which is disappointing.
