"Prachtige tuin, gezellig huisje"

8.0

Prachtige tuin met bloeiende bloesem, grote kastanjeboom en een klein meertje waar je omheen kunt lopen, met zelfs blue bells in het bos

Vlakbij een drukke weg

"Wonderful little cottage, will return"

9.0

Beautiful cottage, lovely views. We listened to the owls at night and watched the birds and squirrels in the morning. Great location, we visited Rye/ Rye Harbour and Bedgebury Pinetum which was glorious. Welcome basket was lovely.

The water was very hot

"Very Good"

7.0

location was lovely, we know the area so it fitted us perfectly. The cottage was really pretty and nice and warm. Walks from the property were lovely. the resident owl made us smile. Welcome basket much appreciated.

Sorry but you really need new mattresses, especially in the twin room. springs stuck into you. had to pop home and get extra duvets to put under which wasn't on our agenda. Even though the walks were wonderful it doesn't seem that the property was equipped to have people out of season. Nowhere to hang wet coats, nowhere to clean off boots before we went into the lounge, both easily solved. I'm sure everyone mentions the road, I know there's nothing you can do about that but it did take some getting used to.

"We loved the cottage and the beautiful surroundings"

Very cosy A good welcome pack but a little milk in the fridge could be included

Car park was not adjacent to the property, this was not mentioned in the information and in the group was a 92 year old with walking problems

The host sent a really helpful message a couple of days before our arrival, sadly our journey over was a nightmare and we arrived in the dark, which did make it a little tricky to find the turn in, but i blame the driver (me). The path to our cottage was lit up and we thought it was beautiful, but wow when we saw it in the morning, stunning!! The towels and bedding were all lovely and fresh. The kitchen was very well equipped, we had a lovely outdoor space, it's just a shame the weather was not on our side so we did not enjoy a little sit out there, the lake was lovely, the walk to the church and the village was lovely, just all beautiful.

The fact i had to go home, i really wish i could have stayed longer, the cottage and its location were perfect.

"Leuke plek in een schitterende omgeving"

9.0

"A pleasant stay"

8.0

The cottage is set in beautiful grounds next to an Oast and overlooking the fields/lake. They have a pontoon with table and chairs where you can sit. The garden is a great size with outdoor furniture and a bbq. The interior of the cottage is homely and quaint. Watch out for the steps and if you are tall will need to be mindful of the low beams. The kitchen has all the facilities needed. The bedrooms too. Loved the big chandeliers. The bathroom has both a freestanding bath and a narrow walk in shower. Sofa is very comfy and has a lovely log fire for the cooler evenings. There was a number of board games/books to keep you entertained. The hosts were exceptional. Very quick responses, very friendly and welcoming on arrival and the follow ups after leaving. The welcome box that contained some treats was a lovely gesture. We were advised by Heather that there was a nice family friendly pub a short walk from the cottage. When you come out of the gates you vere to the left (lake on your right) and follow the path to 'The Bull'. Our neighbours mentioned they had been on a great wine tasting nearby that day which others may enjoy. Tenderton is about a 6 minute drive away. There you will find Waitrose and Tesco along with other shops on the High Street such as clothing stores like White Stuff, some boutique shops, Costa, lovely bakery, pubs with beer gardens, old factory shop etc. We drove 26 minutes to Camber Sands. There's two car parks, one you can take dogs, the other without. The one without has a lot more eating facilities, ice cream shops, shops selling everything you need for the beach. There is one place at the dog beach where the car park is, so be prepared to queue. They sell food I.e breakfasts, fish and chips, burgers etc and some vegetarian options. They sell ice creams, snacks, soft drinks and alcoholic drinks. If you forget your beach towel you can purchase one for a staggering £16 for primark quality. Folding chairs £25 each.

The cottage is situated on a busy road. You cannot hear it all the time but when sleeping in the room with the double bed, I could hear it through my noise cancelling headphones. Also sounded as though someone was walking around the kitchen and trying to open the door which set my puppy off all night long. This could be heard in both rooms either end of the cottage. This may have been a one off and if you drink alcohol would probably sleep through it.
