Suites Atlas - Ocean Front

Great location right on the beach while still off the beaten path so it was quiet. Pool was lovely and good quality pool towels were provided. Great value for the money and the staff was nice and helpful. Several very close and good restaurant options and a convenience store and pharmacy only a block away. Room was quite spacious and had two bathrooms, a large bedroom, a living room and a kitchen. Kitchen was well equipped with pots, implements, dishes etc. You get housekeeping once or twice during your stay - which worked well for us. We have heard in other reviews that the regulars at this location may be a little stand-offish, but that was not our experience. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. One note is that this is not a white sand beach although the sand that is there is soft and nice, and there are some rocks, but that is to be expected in this area of PV.

Our room was on the back side of the property, so there was a lot of noise from the road and construction and it wasn't all that pleasant to sit on the patio. Also - the property across the road was regularly burning garbage. This was - to be fair - the type of room that we booked when we booked the room, but it is worth noting this. I would recommend to book a room on the ocean view side if that is an option and this factor would be a concern. We didn't spend much time in our room, so this was fine for us. Also - not really a negative but still good to note - nothing other than TP, bar soap and dish soap is supplied - you need to bring all the other supplies that you may need, including shampoo, coffee, etc. The coffee maker provided is a standard drip style. And - lastly - there is only one elevator and it is only for specific rooms on the 4th and 5th floor on the backside of the building, so if mobility is an issue for you, you will need to inquire about that concern so that you do not have to be climbing stairs. We were in one of those rooms, so the elevator was quite a convenience for us.

I liked that it is a 2 bedroom suite with a kitchen and living room.

I didn't like that there is a very busy road a block away from our bedroom window with big trucks going by. But we were in the back of the building. Rent an ocean view suite and you wouldn't hardly hear it. And remember these are privately owned condominiums for rent. It is not a hotel. There are no services or restaurant to speak of. Luckily, about a 5-minute walk away is a decent restaurant for breakfast. And you would have to take a taxi to a grocery store if you were planning on cooking in the kitchen. There is nowhere within walking distance to pick up groceries.

the people were friendly, the property was clean, and close to everything we wanted for our vacation. I can't think of anything I didn't care for. Oh, the window tint in our room should be replaced. it has a lot of wrinkles.

Loved being on the beach, friendly people around, and the staff was great too.

The bedrooms were very dark with no windows for light, the rooms were clean, however, the warmer/larger blankets appeared to have not been washed or cleaned in a while ( had sand and dust all in them). The paint is chipping off walls, and in cabinets. There was terrible smells in bedrooms and closets, and the bathroom showers leak out on to main floors, where you were having to use one of the few towels you have to mop up afterwards. Had to warn the maid service of a very large spider or other 🥹 (crawled across me in bedroom) kept lights on afterward. CHECK LUGGAGE AND SHOES FOR STOW AWAYS!! Unfortunately small ants on kitchen counters where I had everything always stored in baggies purposely to keep them out. This unit REALLY needs updating for the $$$ charged.

The location is magnificent. Stunning views and being able to listen to the waves breaking on the shore. Our room was only 10 metres from the sea and we could watch the seabirds fishing. The pool was clean and it was great to have the ocean, an outside shower and the pool all within a few steps of each other. The staff kept the whole place spotless and the rooms were serviced regularly.

Our room, though clean was very shabby - rusty, poorly fitting windows and doors, cracked and badly fitted tiles and pealing paint. Badly located lighting. No ventilation in the bathroom and rusted shut windows. A refurb is urgently required. The main issue was noise. The property on the north west side of Suites Atlas is being developed and pneumatic drills and diggers operated all day. The noise and vibration were sufficient to shake the walls and rattle the windows and wall cupboards. At times during the day it was too unpleasant to stay in our room. This development looks likely to continue for some time so I would urge anyone planning on staying at Suites Atlas not to accept accommodation on the north west side of the property.

The beach was swimmable and the pool was clean and an escape from the heat. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Our unit had large rooms. The bed was comfortable and the ac worked well. Kitchen appliances worked.

Suites Atlas is in need of cosmetic and functional repairs and upgrades. Pool tiles are chipped and missing. The couches were very uncomfortable. Bathroom fixtures were very old and needed replacement. Kitchen equipment was sparse and of lower quality. It was between a 1 km and 2 km walk each way to get to the restaurant area, further for a grocery store.
