We did not stay at the property as we could not get into the property. We kept the host updated on our arrival. Thirty minutes before we arrived we notified the host. When we arrived everything was closed, we had to call twice and then host told us she was not there and we should wait outside. The street is narrow and we could not park outside as cars need to pass. We parked on the shoulder of the road and after 15min we left and booked in at City Lodge. My wife is ill and we needed a place close to the hospital.

The kitchen was well equipped though we didn't make much use of it. Bed was comfortable.

1. The host was difficult to contact. I left an SMS, messages on bookings.com and voice notes which, to date, have had no response. Eventually made contact via a phone call and was told someone would meet us at the house to hand over the keys. It must be said that this person (not the host) was very friendly. So please take note, there is NO 24 hour front desk. 2. The outdoor area was unpleasant (the pool was clean but too cold to use at this time of year). The area immediately outside the room had two dirty chairs and a dead pot plant which made for an unpleasant outdoors experience. 3. There was no hairdryer in the room. 4. The shower floor was dirty. 5. The kitchen blind was broken so it could not be opened, hence no view of the pool.

The only pro lem we had was parking. When we came back late at night there was no parking available so had to phone other guest to move car. Quite an inconvenience for both parties

This was one of the grubbiest places I have ever stayed in. Walls, light switches etc looked grim. With no headboards you have to rest your head against dirty walls. I’ve also never had no bedside lamps in a supposedly upmarket place. Clothes dryer was broken but was replaced. Lightbulb in lamp had to be replaced but only after two days. Loose tile around pool nearly sent me flying. The kitchen sink is ancient and disgusting. Walking barefoot in house resulted in filthy feet. I feel that there’s no checking on the cleaners which is a shame as the property has good features. Staff were pleasant.

I would suggest with a long stay guest the towels at least get changed once.
