It was clean. The hostess was very helpful and obliging. There were all the home comforts, tea, coffee, milk and sugar. Also risks, delightful surprise. There was plenty of room for our dog to roam.

Our accommodation was double booked and we could not stay at the Royal Karoo Cottage. However the owner arranged other accommodation for us close by in a guesthouse with better amenities than we booked originally. For that reason I can't comment on the Royal Karoo Cottage, I can however say that I am very satisfied with the professional way the owner handled the sitiation

The host left some lekker rusks which made for an excellent substitute breakfast the following morning.

There were no lamps/candles for loadshedding and we had to take cold showers, no hot water. But these are minor gripes.
