Fortune Havens- Entire 3BDR Home with Private Parking and Back garden

I never got to stay in the property.. my booking was cancelled at the last minute due to a “burst pipe” and I had to find alternative accommodation with very little notice. It created a very stressful day and I was really disappointed in the lack of communication between host and myself. I had been trying to contact the property the day before check in to get the access codes needed to enter the property etc.. no response.. when trying to call the host the morning of check in.. the phone was turned off. I was offered assistance from the host in finding alternative accommodation and when I asked for the recommendation for alternatives, they just stopped replying. Very disappointed. From reading prior reviews, it’s bot the first time they’ve cancelled a booking last minute either. I understand issues can happen but the sheer lack of communication and then having to front another £200 for alternative accommodation was incredibly stressful.

The property was okay, but the problem was that it had a strong smell of weeds. I couldn’t even stay inside because the smell was so bad, and it gave my wife a headache.

Great location , impressive house, and decor. Beddings in rooms are great . The host was equally very responsive . Really great house comfy for family .

Nice area, I like that there is driveway parking so feels secure. The garden was really nice It was boiling so appreciate the fans in the rooms.

Firstly, we were double booked which was really confusing to how but that got resolved (we arrived first so we got the property). We arrived and had call many times to receive the pin also and figure out what was going on. That was stressful after the drive to notts I felt the property could have been in better standard in terms of cleaning as well, stains on the beds, random cracks by the lights and there was weird smell in the bathroom. The bathroom door was super weird, it would lock you inside when you haven’t locked it in the first place. In the kitchen, there was raw meat in the chest freezer and leftovers in the many fridge. The towels had holes in it, the was shower broken but was not told (there was a replacement) The power went off randomly we may have tripped the switch.

It was very clean and catered to our needs perfectly.

Main Shower on the wall wasn’t working but the other handset one was fine

Space to sit in garden, good size kitchen, good size bedrooms, off street parking

Door in lounge opened in a way where it blocks the walkway to be able to sit on the sofa, stained sofa, no dishwasher, only 3 forks and 2 spoons (but 5 knives) so we had to get a take away and then skip breakfast in the morning, shower out of order so had to use the hand held, cigarette butts left in ash tray in garden (we are non smokers)
