The location

The information and pictures provided by the host were misleading. Before check-in, the host sent us a link requesting a £250 deposit, with a non-refundable charge of €5 for the transaction. This should have been clearly stated in the property description. The check-in procedure was extremely complicated. The property we received was completely different from the one listed. The listing described a 'high floor' with an 'excellent view of Belfast City,' but the apartment we stayed in was on the 5th floor of a 27-story building. Our view was of a busy motorway, with no sight of Belfast City, and the apartment was smaller than advertised. The only reason we booked this apartment is for the viewing from high, we were extremely disappointment The noise from the motorway was disturbing. The kitchenware was insufficient; there were only three wine glasses for our group of four, forcing one of us to use a coffee cup for wine. Additionally, some kitchenware was covered in dust, as shown in the attached picture. We contacted the host for a solution. They initially mentioned the possibility of a partial refund but ignored our follow-up request after we checked out. Therefore, I raised this issue with Booking.com. Booking.com agreed that the 5th floor in a 27-story building does not constitute a high floor. They also took the misleading listing seriously and promised to address the issue with the host through their internal governance procedures. It is also worth mentioning that since I lodged my complaint with the host, they have cleverly updated the property description to remove phrases like 'high floor' and 'view of Belfast City.' If I hadn't taken a screenshot of the original description, I wouldn't have proof of this change to show booking.com

The quality of the apartment was very good and the central location was very good.

1. As a few people have mentioned, the apartment is on 5th floor and much closer to the motorway noise than I expected from the description, and the photos on booking.com. Bring ear plugs unless you are a good sleeper. See attached view from bedroom window. 2. If you like an Escape Room experience, you will love the check in procedure for this apartment! Between the video instructions as to how to find the lock box, incomplete instructions on how to open it,confusion when you are met with 2 lock boxes when you are only expecting one, and not to mention the phone that you need to get into the building, a real challenge! 3. The ID validation and payment of the deposit to a third party company. I was un happy with having to setup an account with them, send a photo of my driving license and a selfie to verify who I am to a company who will hold onto this for 7 years! Then to have to agree that this 3rd party company can deduct what it likes from my credit card. Then be charged €5 for the trouble, the latter charge which was not mentioned on booking.com as far as I can remember. 4. Communication was with a bot, proven by my sending them a message that, due to illness we had to cut our stay short and leave early to which I got no response except a reminder on our original checkout date that the checkout time was 11:00. I also got some stock replies when I asked specific questions during our check in 'experience'.

Location which was within few minutes walking distance to city centre and all attractions. The apartment was spacious, with super comfy beds and very clean with all towels and complimentary toiletries included.
