A Cheaper Option to Hotel (free street parking)

Great location with easy to understand directions to open door. Perfect spot!!!

The room is in centrum of Ålesund.

The self check-in was a nightmare, the owner sent false and missing information about where is the key/chipcard to the room, on which floor is the room. There was no chipcard and the keys in the keybox didn't open the door, so I had to call the owner for help. He wasn't so helpful, he repeated 100 times, the keys should be work. After 20 minutes we can got into the room, but we had no keys to the front door. When I realizes this and wanted to recall him, he didn't pick up the phone. The whole room is black and totally useless to travellers, no shelf for your luggage and stuffs. There was a huge misktake to book this room! Additionally you cannot park on the street, because there is no place. We had to go to a parking garage, this is additional 270 NOK for a night. We wanted to use the washing machine, as it was an option for the room on Booking, but we cannot, because it was full of clothes. The owner ask us in a message to start the washing machine before we leave next morning.... Do not choose this apartment!

It was perfect for us, we had everything we needed and everything was clean. The location was great, very close to the city and stores. Communication with the owner was great, explained everything and gave nice recommendations for things to do in the city. All in all, you get an amazing cozy apartment for a great price! If you go to Ålesund for a small trip, I would recommend this apartment!

The only thing I would change are the pillows. Everything else was great
