The Stable - rural retreat, perfect for couples

Very quiet and secluded location, ideal for a short break. Briefly met host who came across very helpful and friendly. Off road parking. Close to Taunton but in village location with shop and pub in walking distance

Relaxing, well equipped, lovely old stable with character. A great base to explore the area, just out of town but close enough to get supplies. Would happily stay again.

Fantastic hospitality and thoughtfulness from the owners with all the little details being thought of. The bathroom was very well done and very clean.

A microwave would have been a good addition to the well equipped kitchen. The tiny living room/snug let the rest of the retreat down, very poor TV reception in the snug. An iron and board would also have been a welcome addition. Owners should think about installing some way of screening the front windows and main door as the stable becomes extremely hot with the direct sunlight which cannot be blocked out, due to this the main area is not very private as some windows from the main house do overlook the retreat.

We took our 2 x small dogs & the gated garden was perfect, loved the stable door in bedroom

It was quiet and included excellent facilities. The property was equipped with everything you needed for a short stay. This included a nice kitchen area, lovely bathroom and comfortable bedroom area. It also had a great outdoor area where our dog could explore safely.

We liked everything about the accommodation and the facilities included. The only addition that would have been nice would be a glass shelf somewhere in the bathroom to place our washing and shaving bits and pieces.
