The Stable - rural retreat, perfect for couples

This was the second time I stayed in this place and I'm back again next week. There are certain things that makes me choose this place, the location which is quite but very close to where I need to be, shops etc. The kitchen is very well equipped, I usually stay 3-5 nights and like to cook my own food, I appreciated to have different knifes, kitchen roll, foil paper and also an oven. Often places are very basic on kitchen utensils. It is also a very spacious a comfortable place, like a home away from home. Chrissy is always very helpful and quick at getting back to me if I need anything.

Accommodation quirky but lovely.

No blinds on big windows in kitchen area where every room is accessed from. Although only view is from owner's garden, doesn't feel entirely private at night. Bit of a faff with key code on arrival (late room sent wrong one apparently) but quickly sorted and gave us chance to meet the owner too.Could do with bigger signage on road for night arrivals. Extra bonus of the garden room:we didn't use but would be lovely for extra space on longer stay/in summer. Beautifully tranquil and perfect place to relax!

The lodge is very well laid out, decorated and in a beautiful setting. I din't bring my dogs with me but they would have enjoyed the secured outside area. The home was warm and very comfortable, had everything I needed, was nice to find napkins and a knife to cut vegetables/bread, something is very often missing in most places. It's a very quite area, I didn't have much time to explore but it looked like there were some nice areas around.

Somerset information rather than Devon

Quiet and very peaceful, perfect size for the two of us and a small dog. Loved the private dog proof courtyard.

Nothing it was lovely.

Clean, well equipped, nicely presented, good location and the owners were very helpful.

Property was as expected and didn’t disappoint.
