City Central Apartments 2 next to New York Cafe

Easy walking distance to all tourist attractions

The owner did not mention that the flat is directly above a Karaoke bar that has loud music every night until 4.30am. Many of the facilities listed did not exist eg no cable TV as there was no TV! Also broken shower and stained bedsheets.

Location is central and convenient. Flat was warm with food insulation.

Internet is not always constant. Some lightbulbs was not working in the room.

Location, huge room. Comfy bed.

Bit noisy outside during the night

Lovely traditional decor, central location and huge space! Host was responsive with problems.

Bathroom is old, probably needs some work.

The only good thing about this apartment is the location but the room is overlooking one of the main streets and it's extremely noisy 24 hours a day so if you need silence for sleeping, don't choose this place for your stay in Budapest. There are surely some apartments in side streets which are not so noisy.

This is one of the dirtiest places in the world!!! I travel a lot and I've never seen something like this before. It's not suitable for human living. Since the booking.com customer service didn't provide me any help or some alternative accommodation, although I sent them the photos of the place immediately after coming there, I had to clean it up for hours to be able to use it. The owner showed up a few hours after my check in and brought me some clean bed clothes to make my bed, some detergents and sponges to clean the bathroom and kitchen and said sorry. Well, we don't pay our vacation rentals to go somewhere else to clean for hours and get sorry for that. Beside all the dirt and greasiness, the pillows and blankets smell horribly, the oven doesn't work, there is no light in the kitchen except some old small dirty lamp, there is no one single cup for coffee or tea, all the pots are so old, scratched and dirty that they are definitely not safe to use, everything should be thrown away immediately. The apartment looks like it was equipped with everything found in the garbage or on the street. One more thing, the recycle bin in the room, full of garbage from someone being there before me is probably still there because I threw away my trash before leaving the place and I lived there for five days with other people's trash, horrible experience!

Mike the landlord and Gabor the manager were very friendly and informative. They were always at hand. The apartment is nice, clean and cozy. Location is fantastic. New york cafe 100ms, plenty of grocery shops within 200ms, 3 money exchanges within a 2 min walk. Many sights, bars, restaurants in walking distance. The party district is 2 blocks away. I had a fantastic time, will be back for sure!
