2 Bed - Penthouse The Gatehouse by Pureserviced

Fantastic location just outside of Royal Williams Yard. Next to the fantastic Hutong Cafe. Beautiful view out of the lounge window. On street parking nearby for 12.50 per night (permit parking only). Great bars and restaurants on the doorstep. Apartment was immaculate. Furnishings and equipment is excellent. Comfortable sofa, beds and good quality linen. Powerful shower. Fully equipped kitchen with everything you need in it to be self catering if desire. Extremely friendly check in. Highly recommend.

Nothing I didn’t like but a couple of things that could be even better. The shower is fantastic in terms of power but it’s a shame with so much space in the bathroom that the cubicle chosen is quite small. It’s very compact inside! It is a fabulously powerful shower though - great with long, thick hair to wash! Also there is lots of space in the bathroom and it would be nice to have a table or hooks or something to be able to put clothes on when getting in the shower. Not sure that this can be regarded as a ‘penthouse’ apartment as I would call it a top floor apartment. For me penthouses are wraparound, and are something generally different than the others in the block and it didn’t feel like this one was. However it didn’t detract from our fantastic stay. Finally very happy to check in at a different location and was well aware that this was the case . However would be more convenient if the keys could be left at the property when leaving to prevent having to drive back across town/ enable just walking around Williams yard in the morning rather than rushing to the hoe! Was lovely to check in with someone though and get a map and lovely welcome !

Location was terrific for my purposes and just off the coast/harbour, so very nice views. The place was beautiful, comfortable and clean. Everything in working order, nice comfortable beds, shower and toilet all in perfect working order. Kitchen space was nice with relevant amenities. Really enjoyed my stay, though brief.

On the final night, we did hear the tenants below through the floor. Not sure if they were just loud people or whether there would have been an issue with thin walls. Was not enough to be an issue but it's only fair that I mention, we could hear the people downstairs on occasion.
