Pieman's Cottage - Pulborough, West Sussex Cottage - sunny courtyard

Charming cottage, nice kitchen and dining area . Ali allowed us a later check out which we appreciated.

Cottage was chilly and needed the wood-burner but sadly only a starter pack of wood was provided despite the booking email and the welcome book stating extra wood was in the shed . This was empty and when we asked we were told we needed to buy wood . This was difficult as it meant lugging wood from a car park which is a walk away as there is no parking at property . No advice on where to buy wood was provided. Part of the charm of the cottage is the wood-burner and we felt at the price charged wood should be provided for the stay . If it’s not provided this should be made very clear in all the information especially before booking . All radiators are locked and the heat allowed was insufficient. Ali did “unlock” the lounge one but we would have liked the wood-burner. We also had two water leaks through the ceiling which we had to deal with . As mentioned by another guest both double mattresses are uncomfortable and need upgrading . Dining room chairs are very sharp and poor quality . Cottage is on a very main road and the noise from 5am till late is constant . It can be heard clearly in the lounge and main bedroom .

Liked allot about the property, very comfortable. Ali was great host!! Couldn’t do enough for us and the cottage is in a great location.

Not a big deal really, but no parking on site so loading and unloading was tricky

So easy to access property Properly was so clean ! Loved the bedroom, bath and kitchen ! So much character in a lovely house ! Would absolutely stay again!

The ONLY thing was the stairs to the bedrooms ,,, very steep .. we had to carry out very able dog up and down .. which was abit scary .. however we would stay again … people with difficulties with stairs will need to be cautious

Generally a very cosy and clean space, fully equipped kitchen, super comfortable double bed, nice little outside area at the back, and Ali was lovely and easy to contact!

Super pretty cottage, very special in style. Easy to find, free parking close to accommodation, pretty location, pub, cafe, butcher, Domino's and grocery store within a two minute walk. Owner was very helpful and kind and had collected a convenient information package of the area's services. Our whole family (incl. 2- and 6-year old kids) really loved the place.

Steep stairs to bedroom and bathroom; is hardly suitable for people with walking disabilities. Master bedroom bed was skueaqing quite badly at the time of our visit but I'm rather sure the owner will take the feedback to replace the bed.
