Well located in gorgeous Edale, with just a short walk along a pavement taking you to footpaths that connect with both the Mam Tor side abd the Edale/Grindsbrook Clough side of the valley. The cottage is full of just about everything you could possibly need as it has clearly been a family home in the past. Ample hot water, comfy beds and warmed up quickly (a cold June week!) when we lit "the beast" for the heating and hot water (noisy but not disturbingly so).

"All good, clear instructions on how to use everything, lovely homely touches, i would stay here again,"

10.0

Lovely house, decorated really nicely, so many nice little items, so interesting to look around, Fabulous beds and bedding,

Not a negative but the “beast” in the living room it sounds like it was going to take off, the instructions make it easy to use, and when you get used to it it’s ok, and it’s lovely and warm,

"Weekend scrambles and walks in the peak"

7.0

The cottage has a very well equipped kitchen, so home cooking is no problem at all, lots of dishwasher tabs, welcome pack was lovely, likewise GHDs in the bedrooms great touch.

The cottage was freezing when we arrived, started the wood pellet boiler on arrival as per instructions, it took a few hours for it to get warm, the boiler is in the lounge and is very noisy, we had music on but it overpowered this, you can even hear it at night in the bedrooms when trying to sleep. We also had to keep maintaining the boiler with pellets to keep it going which is very tedious when your on holiday! Recommend in the winter the boiler could be started by the owner a couple of hours before check in for the rooms to get warm, we went to the local pub (14min walk) for a few hours to wait for the cottage to warm up so as not to be cold. The house was also very dusty in the lounge and bedrooms, cleaning could have been better, dirty glass in the bedroom and we had to clean the wood burner out before use. No bin bags for the main bins so pack your own. Location is on the outskirts of Edale, be mindful of the road to walk into Edale, part of it is a 60mph with no footpath so you have to be careful!

"Great location and very well equipped and clean cottage."

10.0

A lovely cottage in a great location. The cottage is very homely with excellent facilities. The welcome tea, coffee, bicuites and jams and the bread making kit were very thoughtful additions. The woodburner heating systems made the living area very cosy. The kitchen is extremely well equipped and the house feels very homely. The owner was very helpful and answered all questions very promptly.

"Nice property and a beautiful location"

7.0

We were surprised at how big the property was inside and it was really nicely put together. The views from the bedroom window were stunning. It’s nice to have off-road parking.

There was a pellet stove that provided the hot water and heating, we had issues with this on our second night which left us without hot water or heating. It might be worth mentioning the stove in the description of the property.

Perfect place to stay for a family. Plenty of space and such a relaxing home.

Found 'the beast' in the living room a little loud but that was it.

Lovely cosy cottage with incredibly well equipped kitchen and comfy beds. Exactly what we needed for a weekend away with our adult children. Stunning views from the house

Due to appalling weather we spent more time in the house than we would have normally. The wood pellet boiler is quite loud if you are in the living room but was certainly efficient.

Loved the basket with a few goodies in, lovely touch. House is well equipped, home from home and decorated beautifully throughout. Edale short walk through the footpaths, avoiding the road.

The plumbing wasn't great on the shower drains resulting in the floor tray overfilling which caused some stress on the visit but the owner was helpful
