Breakfast is not up to the mark when it comes to Taj

I booked the hotel for a long pool and the deep soak tub. The tub was amazing, as was the shower. Even the view overlooking the pool was fine. I stayed for 2 nights. Housekeeping staff were very punctual with extra water and towels. I had breakfast and dinner package. The chicken Thai inspired soup, sourdough bread and the carrot cake were highlights of food.

The bed was not as comfy as should be for a Taj. The steps in the pool were disorientating when doing laps. What was most annoying was the constant interruptions during meals by at least 4-5 staff asking if the food was ok. I found it very intrusive, especially wanting a quiet time to eat. Also 540 INR for a can of diet coke was extortionate.
