Portree, Isle of Skye

Amazing property, beautifully furnished and decorated, utilising locally woven fabrics. Huge bed, with high quality bedlinen. Heating of the property exceptional and very quick. Superb bathroom - included bathrobes and luxury toiletries. Very quiet location. Well-appointed kitchen, with dishwasher. Lovely welcome package of goodies - thank you! Very useful ordinance survey wall map - made planning days out much easier. Useful selection of maps and walk books also available.

The weather, but it was October!

Julliet's cottage is a beautifull place to stay. Tastefully decorated with attention to detail, and very spacious rooms. Has everything you need, and is truly a hidden gem. The road that leads up to the house is quite a bumpy ride, but the house is truly worth it. For us, it was the perfect location to explore the Isle of Sky.

Would have appreciated a non-slip mat in the bath and shower. Access road rutted and difficult to navigate.

The property is exceptional. It is located on a lovely farm in the countryside. It has amazing views of the sea, rolling hills, lambs, and little bunnies. The cottage is lovely and the furniture and furnishings are the best we have seen in a self-catering property in Scotland. You can easily drive to all the points of interest on the island within a reasonable time. I recommend stocking up on food at the Co-Op in Portree or before. The restaurants are few and far between on the island.

The host’s communication was a bit slow and terse. The check out time at 10:00 am is ridiculous. People are on holiday. They shouldn’t have to depart so early. It certainly doesn’t take 5 hours to clean a cottage.

Amazing place in the most perfect location next to a farm so you are surrounded by fields with cows and sheep. Can walk down to the water from where you are with no one else around. The place was a lot bigger than I expected and whole place to yourselves. Was beautiful inside with everything you could need. Definitely worth the money it's the best place I have ever stayed. Thanks so much

Nothing it was perfect

Location was amazing. Very green fields, sheep, cattle, a view of the loch. Short walk to the loch. Very peaceful. Paintings in the house by a local artist, all of local scenes and most appropriate . This added to the feeling that we were in a remote and very special place.

The cottage is at the end of a long farm track on a private peninsular and so extremely peaceful and quiet. Superb calming decor, top class fittings and large luxurious bathroom. Close to Portree and a good base to explore Skye.

The parts of the road that were owned by the Local authority were rutted and in need of some repair - not the owners fault.

The cottage was very well appointed and very comfortable. The location was beautiful and very peaceful.

Very bumpy drive on the approach to the farm. Not good for low slung cars!
