Charming apartment in a 19th century villa

The villa is absolutely beautiful and Piero & Adriana were gracious and very helpful hosts. They provided lots of information and helped us with onward travel. The villa has everything you need and is a wonderful old building.

Die Gastgeber Piero und Adriana haben persönlich auf uns bei Ankunft gewartet, beim Ausladen und Tragen des Gepäckes geholfen und persönlich in das Appartment geführt und eine Einführung in die Räumlichkeiten gegeben. Am ersten Tag sind wir von Piero mit seinem Auto in die Stadt gefahren worden und haben gleichzeitig eine City-Tour zur Orientierung bekommen; an einem weiteren Tag hat uns Piero mit Adriana direkt nah an das Schloss Miramare gefahren - alles sehr zuvorkommend ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Und eines Abends sind wir zum Abendgetränk unter der Pergola eingeladen worden. Ein Spitzen-Gastgeberpaar!

Die ca. 45 Treppen-Stufen hinab von der Straße zum Haus muss man vorher wissen, waren aber auch für ein hochbetagtes Mitglied unserer Reisegruppe schaffbar.

Adriana and Piero met us in person upon our arrival and made us feel very welcome. For a week, it felt like home away from home.

Adorable hosts, great uphill location with stunning sunset view over the ocean. It was a bit of a time-travel to stay in this house with antique furnitures from 1806! Although we stayed for New Years the apartment was pleasantly heated. Recommend to anyone who wants a place to enjoy and surely remember long term!

The property perfectly fits its Booking.com description - 'Charming apartment in a 19th century villa' - and is tastefully furnished with traditional furniture. The hosts are delightful and cannot do enough to make visitors feel welcome and comfortable, including switching on the air conditioning and closing the shutters when appropriate. There's loads of helpful information for visitors unfamiliar with the area and Piero made a point of providing English language versions where these were not on display.

Whilst we were very happy to walk down the (fairly steep) hill into town and use the bus or taxi to get back up, this may not suit everyone.

Adriana and Piero are perfect hosts - and Gollo their very calm natured dog. Beautiful self contained apartment with such a warm welcome. Everything you need to feel welcome - and some good provisions.

We liked everything - but it’s worth pointing out it’s hilly! Great on the downhill into Trieste - easy walk but get a taxi back! Only 7 Euros

Adriana and Piero are very kind hosts, we got a lot of informations about the sights. Every day they treated us to something delicious. Centerclosed location, with special atmosphere, very quiet place. We hope to be their guests again soon.
